soufflé
Wow Lesley- what fantastic news. I've only just picked up this thread as I've been away a lot (and it has just taken me about 20 mins to read it all!) Hope it all goes through - the Fosse Way (bits of it) aren't that far from me so let us know when the honey sales start. Good luck.

soufflé
Thanks Clare, I am sort of looking forward to going but very sad too especially at having to leave Martha and Henrietta who have given me sooo much pleasure. Will I still be able to log on to the forum and catch up with all the news?
The Dogmother
I am sure you'll still be able to use the same log on Sue - we'll expect you to be here with your news. Maybe you should start an Omlet blog to chart your journey to a new life....
soufflé
Sorry to show my ignorance - what is an omlet blog?
Popcorn
Hi Sue, If you go to www.eglu.co.uk you'll see the light. A blog is like an online diary that other people can read if you want them to. Some of us have diaries about chickens and the like - because the forum isn't enough
soufflé
Blimey - I don't think my travels round Europe are going to be as interesting as a chicken diary - especially as I'll be chookless!
Popcorn
Oh, what a good idea for a blog, especially if you can get online while you are there, we can keep up with you! I'm sure you can sniff out some chooks if you try
The Dogmother
What a good idea Gina, Sue, you'll have to post pix of European chooks that you find in your travels It'll be like a challenge!
soufflé
You have no idea how challenging I find it posting replies on here, let alone anything more difficult like photos - that's why I have no avatar!
Popcorn
you've made a great start though. At least you can add text
Lesley
Everything is moving along and we've just been for a major site visit - we were too scared to look properly the first time! We've walked the boundaries and checked out the stream. We've looked in all the barns and stroked all the cats (who won't be staying) We've negotiated the purchase of the contents of the prep. room - industrial mincer, sausage machine, stainless steel tables and a smoker which the owners used for smoking duck breasts. We are now allowing ourselves to get excited - it's just been worrying before. The valuation and searches are iminent and then it shouldn't take long. ......and - it is apparently to be shown on Channel 4's Relocation Relocation programme! - probably not next week but the week after. The people saw it while it was being built and kept dithering. They phoned last week to ask to buy it!

Popcorn
Oh good for you Lesley. I'm pleased it has all gone your way. Just goes to show if you want something, you just have to go for it and no dithering! I think you were so right to trust your instincts and go with how you felt, even though, as you say, you were scared to look to closely the first time round. Can't wait to see it on the tele
