Cinnamon
I hope its better where you live, but here in Henley it is absolutly bloomin' miserable. I am supposed to go into town today to do a bit of mooching & shopping, but it is raining so heavily,& is so blustery that I really connot bear to. Glad I'm not a chicken who has to live outside

The Dogmother
Same here too Hon - it's almost dark too! My chooks gave me a withering look this morning when I let them out of the run ....'Do you seriously think that we're ducks?' they said. The rain and gales kept waking me up last night - and I went to bed early too in an attempt to shake off this ghastly cold
Tina C
I hope you are better by Saturday Clare. Dark, wet and windy here too. Forecast is not too good for Jimmy's at the moment.
Rhapsody
My fields are flooded and all the horses are like Dartmoor ponies with their butts to the weather. Really looking forward to poo-picking today

Guest
Forecast will change by then. Its hideous here and in the ICT corridor the roof leaks so the floor is wet and slippery. Oh and some poor souls have "wet break" to deal with. Hope it's better by Friday when it's my break duty! Might have to wear my garden wellies to Jimmys though instead of my mammoths - don't want muddy ankles!
The Dogmother
I will certainly be wearing my wellies and probably thermal socks too if it's cold. For those who haven't been before; the main bit of the farmyard is gravelled, so not muddy, but not good for those with buggies either. The fiel;ds with the animals in and the woodland walk will be rather muddy, I expect.
Egluntyne
It is lovely here at the moment...but a bit windy. It changes every half hour. The hens are playing out at the mo.
The Dogmother
In the last hour, it has gone from pelting rain and gales to sunny, light breeze and 15 degrees!!!!! Very odd
chickencam
It went so dark here about 45 mins ago and lashed down with rain then 10 mins later was sunny with blue sky.

Maybe the poo will melt in the rain, I know I nearly did! I got - Mud all over my jacket Mud all over my jeans Mud all over my gloves Mud in my hair Mud in my eyelashes Mud over the top of me muck boots Sometimes I miss London................. The Dogmother
Glad you were wearing your wellies Rhapsody and not your best Manolo's sweetie! My garden is like that too - it really needs some draining - I must get down to aerating it soon - need a week in the garden at least
Jules.
I slip & slide where the hens are fenced off. One day I'll come a cropper.....It's just pure mud there now. While the girls were away for a fortnight at BIL's the grass managed to come back a bit, not a hope now
The Dogmother
If it's really squishy Jules, put some Hemcore or Aubiose over it - that seems to dry it out quite well.

chelsea
its been lashing down, howling winds and dark and miserable here in Devon since Saturday. We've not been able to put up our festive outdoor extravaganza lights the forecast is wet wet wet and our back garden looks like someone has set a bomb off in the middle of a pile of leaves!
