Christmas trees!

Recommended Posts

I thought I would add a photo of my festive fireplace, which I really like this year.

The lights are little ones on a row of brown & gold sequins,so they look really pretty when they are not lit too 8)

Its just a shame its got too warm to light the wood burner

I forgot to mention, those are Yankee Mulled Wine candles burning on the mantle,so you get the full christmassy effect :lol:

daren't show my daughter though she will think our star is very dull in comparison

We saw it in the Christmas Shop at Disney when we were in Florida last year and both looked at each other and said "We've got to have that"! You should've seen the box it came in to protect all of the different bits.

Have now been inspired to go and take photos of our trees (after some hurrid present arranging by Chris under the one in the lounge!)

The lounge tree:

The conservatory tree:

And anyone who says that our tree topper is even in the slightest bit camp will get a severe telling off! :)

She's attracted quite a few comments!

Yes, it is a 30's fireplace. Not the original, though the house was built in 1937. According to our neighbour (who has lived in the street most of her life), our house was owned for many years by one lady who, when having work done, always had the very best. It was her who had the fireplace put in. It's an underdraught fireplace which is great!

Nice to be back. Have been busy these last few months and not been on much. Have remembered over the past few days what fun the forums can be :)

Merry Christmas

We collect Green Men Rob, the biggest is hidden by the tree. We are given most of them - or have garden vouchers to buy more!

I just showed the photo to Chris and he said "Look at all those lovely green men!". So I was right :)

He has a couple of the outside of the shed and always manages to spot them when we're in garden centres, National Trust places, etc...
