Christian
I used salted nuts Poet as I couldn't find unsalted. Just left out the salt from the recipe. The last batch I made, I used chilli oil and they are a lot hotter! Still nice though.

ubereglu
Wow, all of your wares loom brilliant! For my friends I made some of their presents/customised bits and bobs. So I decorated a candle with glass paints, sewed buttons onto an alice band, made a couple of necklaces and a bracelet and some gingerbread christmas tree biscuits. Still haven't finished my christmas shopping for my family though...needs doing AND quickly!
Richard
Our friends made us a little hamper with homemade goodies in this year. Obviously not everyone has the skill or time to do this but I thought it was absolutely delightful and unique! Is anyone else giving a homemade gift this year? What is it and who are you giving it to? I'm exceedingly mean and we often do homemade presents! Her indoors spins and I knit and we have done bags and hot water bottle covers among other things over the years. This year we are giving our son's girlfriend an Emma Bridgewater teapot ('cos she liked it) and I have knitted a tea cozy that looks like a fairy cake. We've also done chilli oil this year for several people; I grew 'Pinnochio's nose' chillies in the greenhouse (long thin chillis) and have dried them. We've collected appropriate bottles all year (like the square balsamic vinegar bottles you can get). We just put a dried chilli in the bottle and fill it up with decent olive oil. Its really nice. I just hope none of the intended recipients are reading this!
missuscluck
I do mini hampers at christmas but this year we have been so busy I havent got round to it. I feel really sad now cause I wish I had. Thanks for all the great ideas. I think we were getting in a rut of doing about the same in things each year in the baskets. I am now inspired to do some different additions next year. Hoping for a quieter 2008
