Guest
It's still around about -8 here - the frost is thick, as is the freezing fog. The pavement and roads are thick with black ice, and the lot of us skidded and skited down to the school this morning. Must go take a photo of the frost for you all... Louise
I didn't really see the ice this morning Shona as I left the house at 6.15 but I was sooooooo careful up to the main road I didn't want to end up in the tweed
The Dogmother
Too right Louise - that bit of road is dicey at the best of times!

Guest
We've been gritted now, but it's still like an ice-rink. I'ce just had a phone call from the garage to say that the car is ready to be collected, but it's in Hawick, and chookiehubbie is going to have to drive me there in the morning, over the sliding, icy roads. Guest
They possibly would, but will charge me a fortune to do it! It's nealry 60 miles away, so will happily charge me an arm and a leg to do it..

Egluntyne
It is really cold here. I'm sitting at the computer with a scarf round my neck. The weatherman earlier forecast snow for parts of Scotland and some high areas in the North of England. That'll be us then. As long as it doesn't prevent my daughter getting home for Christmas. feemcg
We've got a severe weather warning for the morning - rain falling on frozen ground, turning to ice, preceded by snow - bet I don't get any , then it's back to milder, wet and windy for Christmas.
