Egluntyne
It looks very cosy. If is gets any colder I shall light the fires tomorrow. I'm sitting here in a massive cardigan with a scarf round my neck!

Guest
hruumph Its freezing here - there was a power cut today just as we went out, I think the power was off for around 2 hours. I sat here tonight moaning that the temp in the house had dropped severely during this time and it was only when I put my hand over a vent I realised it was blowing out COLD air. Somthing had gone awry with the boiler and it hadn't fired back up properly. I soon fixed it using the reset buttons but then I had to go out to Ligtherlife and it turned off 1/2 hour later, Mum was already in bed so didn't override it and I've come home to find I'm sitting in a fridge. Only my lovely warm Honey on my lap is keeping me going right now.

Lesley
Snowy - that looks lovely. I would have tied the boys to their beds so I could look at it for just a bit longer

feemcg
Most of you have seen my utility and bathroom , so I thought I'd take the opportunity of posting my 'once in a blue moon' tidy kitchen and living room
Ain't Nobody Here
Wow, what a gorgeous grownup house you have, Fee . I've got a sheepskin rug like that (well, actually, it belongs to the dog ). British Sheepskin Company?
feemcg
Thanks Vicki, no I got it over on Arran - there's a wee shop in Brodick that sell them and you can buy them from where they're 'made' round near Lochranza. I got a small one but wish I'd gone a bit bigger. It's needing washed but I just put it in the machine and it comes out lovely
Guest
Wow, what a gorgeous grownup house you have, Fee . What a great way to describe Fees house! It's been that long since I had a livingroom completely free from toys, school bags amd discarded shoes, I've forgotten what it's like to have a 'grown up' house! feemcg
Thanks everyone - I better start acting a bit more grown up if it looks like a grown up house . My fire surround is from a place near me called Fireplace World - it's oak (I think it looks like pieces of Jenga ) and goes nicely with the solid oak bench/coffee table from the Cotwold catalogue (which I bought when it 1st appeared in their catalogue and they're now double what I paid). The Dogmother
Rosie has one on the back seat of the car that she loves to snuggle into. The other one is on one end of the sofa for me to cuddle into.
