Jules.
Snowy I love the blackboard your split back door the fact that you can see a bit of your cube in the photo
Mrs Frugal
What a lovely big, bright kitchen, Snowy. Mine's tiny and although I've got a utility, it's even tinier than the kitchen . I love your split back door too - that's something I've always yearned for and the HUGE fridge and freezer!
Charlottechicken
I've only just realised that you are called Claire. I've always thought of you as Charlotte! Oh Egluntine, you do make me laugh Where do the steps near the loo lead to? They lead to the landing, it is a terrace, and the bathroom is the original 3rd bedroom on the 'wing' of the house, so it is quite big at 12 feet long Lesley, I have heard about those French flea markets, it sounds like you were very restrained

Ain't Nobody Here
What a lovely, homely kitchen. I couldn't swing a cat, let alone a chicken, in mine . I am going to have to take a leaf out of Karen & Co.s book and learn how to post pictures At least you've worked out how to do an avatar with changing pictures. I've given up on that one . Mrs Frugal
These kitchen photos were sent to me by Clash City Rocker and the kitchen is so immaculate and beautiful that I can't possibly post them in the worst rooms thread so this one is far more suitable . Mrs Frugal
I'm a kitchen person too . I fought for a kitchen table in this kitchen too, Christian - it's tiny but it's wooden and it's in daily use for baking etc. I love it . I wish my kitchen was as immaculate as Clash's though . Lesley
Wow - beautiful kitchen photos - I love kitchens as well. Maria - the people who waited so long to build the house and then to sell it straight away, always wanted to make their fortune out of it. The local authority knew that and turned them down many times. Eventually the council relented but the land has an agricultural tie on it to prevent further building and to keep the land as ........... agricultural
Chicken Licken
Time to learn how to put in pics (I have been putting it off for ages). This is my living room, kitchen and winter chicken quarters in the garden (if it works). Small but comfortable and when the fire and Rayburn are on very cosy (boiler is on its last legs)
Chicken Licken
It worked - How cool is that - I am quite overexcited and off to have some supper. Clutter should be my middle name - believe it or not the kitchen is quite tidy at the mo!
Mrs Frugal
I love your wiggly roofed outbuilding! Gorgeous!! Looks like we have the same kitchen units . Lovely cosy looking house and I'm so envious of the Rayburn .
Cate in NZ
It worked - How cool is that - I am quite overexcited and off to have some supper. Clutter should be my middle name - believe it or not the kitchen is quite tidy at the mo! It looks lovely, very cosy and homely Kitchens are my favourite room too. Just as well really because it's the definitely the room in which I spend most of my waking hours at home. (Technically I guess I spend most time in the bedroom, but if I'm asleep it doesn't count ). I've been looking at all the photos and you've all got some lovely homes, I feel quite of those of you with really tidy and clutter free homes, that's what I aspire too. But I think I must have a genetic predisposition to clutter because it's the busy, messy, obviously busy rooms that really attract my attention
Lesley
I covet that Rayburn - I've always liked the Rayburn more than the Aga.

Lesley
No! - stuff is what doesn't fit in the cupboards!!!! you haven't got any stuff!
Chicken Licken
That is an unhealthily tidy kitchen!! The Rayburn is I suppose my pride and joy. I marked thousands of GCSE papers this summer to earn the money to get it mended - it is now awesome and if we do get a few days of bad weather it will be lovely and warm. The barns are lovely aren't they - they would have been the outside loos and washing rooms for the houses when they were built. I have the most sagging roof but it is still standing. I also have an allotment that belongs with the house behind the barns (Martin wanted photos and I didn't know how. Here is one from earlier int he summer Edited December 31, 2007 by Guest

Clash City Rocker
Mrs Clash City Rocker thinks I'm getting signs of "OCD" as in my world "stuff" belongs in cupboards. I think it's from my "Army Training". My brother when he visits always asks "have we been burgled" as there is never "stuff" out!!!!
Lesley
I had to cure myself of OCD since we moved here - I can just about live with mess in some places.... as long as the rest is all in straight lines and tidy!
