Jules.
ANH I like your view very much, especially the hills in the distance
Guest
ANH - I'm guessing you live pretty close to my in-laws - they live on the main road out to Straiton, on the houses set up high above the road - I think (from the view) you live slightly further down towards the city centre. My house is pretty tidy now - will finish off the upstairs, then take some photos before the screaming throng of girlies descend in the morning! Cinnamon
Here are some photos of my home...it looks a bit messy First, this is my office, where I spend my days & years talking to you lot! Note the big framed Aragorn picture. The 3 small pictures are hand signed Sean Bean ones.Well,it gets a bit boring doing the accounts sometimes & I need something to look at I like my office as its nice & bright & looks out onto the road. This is my kitchen. What you can't see from this photo is that the front of the kitchen has a glass roof, which makes it lovely & light. The cottage has low ceilings & I love that, but I like lots of light too. And this is my living room. Its lovely & cosy & has another big leather sofa, plus a chair & pouffe too. There are Franch doors going out onto the patio. In the middle of the room is my favourite thing - an antique Indian Dowry chest which The Hubby bought for me a few years ago Its amazing how small your house looks when you photograph it! Egluntyne
Blimey! How lovely. I'm definitely no showing you the inside of my humble abode now! It looks like the Wreck of the Hesperus in comparison.
Mrs Frugal
Your house is lovely Sarah. I love your kitchen. It's so much roomier than mine. I know what you mean about photos making everything look smaller though. I have trouble finding an angle where enough of the room shows as all our rooms are tiny . nicki9
All your houses look lovely, ours is an absolute bombsite. New Years Resolution probably should be to get the hoover out more often but then again, it should be a realistic target.
Goosey Lucy
You have all inspired me to tackle our bedroom. It has looked more and more like a jumble sale so now that Father Christmas has given us some space back, I feel I can tackle it. OH has been dispatched to local new(!) Ikea to purchase more chests of drawers to accomodate his new jumpers as I can't bear them dumped on any available surface any more. Once it's sorted I'll take some photos, honest! I'll have to take some of my messy room photos for you too . You can't see what my desk is made from as the mess is piled high on it. Sometimes I can't find the mouse . Guest
I did a whole photo tour of the house yesterday, right after the cleaner came. Then I set up an Omlet Gallery and tried to upload them. Then I realised that I had the stupid camera on the wrong setting and they are all out of focus! I'll try again after she's been on Monday!!!! Guest
Ours is amazing! She tears around the place and works up real sweat as she reckons its better than going to the gym. We told her it was up to her when she came over the Christmas period and she said she wanted to come as usual! She brings her little boy with her in the holidays who is about the same age as James so they get to play together too which is lovely. Shirl
Wow she doesn't fancy a trip over my way does she? I've had 4 different cleaners and they have all left early when I'm not around. My current cleaner plods around and wouldn't know elbow grease if she slipped on it
Guest
She is the third one we've had since we moved in. First was a bloke who has a little cleaning business, he was useless - he cleaned like a bloke! Next one came twice then didn't turn up again and we had to chase her to get the key back. This one is incredible, hope she doesnt' decide to go into full time work anytime soon as her little boy is at school now, I think she wants to be there to pick him up so fingers crossed! She likes the workout she gets, does tons more than I could in the time she is here and is really nice too. We bought her a pedicure for Christmas as pampering, I didn't want to give her money as she spends it all on her teenage daughter who does dancing and always needs lessons, equipment etc. So I thought it would be nice to give her somethign for herself.
