Jules.
Bronze- it looks like you have the same light shades as we have in the bedrooms- are they wire coiled around the shade frame? We got ours from Homebase about 4 years ago.

The Dogmother
That looks lovely Linda - I especially like the darlek composter! (Are you able to make the piccies a tad smaller? They are pushing the page of the screen... 900 pixels on the longest measurement should do it.)

Jules.
Dalek composter i have 2 compost bins. Can we have a Blue-Peter style guide to making them?
missuscluck
Thankyou!! The dalek composter was supposed to be a project for the kids. It is the Blue peter one they did on the telly made from a council composter. It all got really difficult though and we didnt do it with the ease they seemed to manage it with. I suppose we didnt have one we made earlyer. I would like to say it was easy...... We ended up using a blow torch to make the holes in the lid. Not very child friendly at all. The kids were stood going 'when can we help' Sorry about the piccys being to large. First go at doing this. Think I have cracked it now so the world is my oyster muhhaha! Try this... My dining room!! Oooh this is fun.
Jules.
Your house gets lovelier. I don't watch Blue Peter..... my boys prefer other channels- I must have a look on their website to see if the instructions are on there.

Snowy
Lovely dining room Linda I love your curtains and border - chintzy but classy with it, beautiful! Is it a converted garage by the way? Just that it looks exactly the same size as my dining room ex garage
missuscluck
No it isnt a garage but it was built on as a 2 story extension by the former occupants. My daughter has the upstairs bit as her bedroom and we have part of it as an ensuite, so they saved us a job!! The border/fabric is Laura Ashley which is my fave. Its a bit dated now, they dont sell borders any more as they are not fashionable. How else are you supposed to cover up the edges of bad decorating?? Yes mr cluck is a garage proprietor by day and a rock star by night This guitar is one of about 8 or so, i have lost count. He plays in a band but you wont of heard of them
Snowy
I noticed borders round walls weren't fashionable just after I'd put one round my bedroom We covered up the single patterned wall (which just happens to be fashionable again now) By the time I get round to replacing my border it will be back in fashion But your border looks lovely Lynda - it's such a lovely, bold design
Charlottechicken
I like borders, I didn't realise they don't sell them anymore. Shows how much attention I pay to 'house fashion'
Snowy
Well my best friend came round today and decided to help me take the christmas decorations down. While we were at it, we blitzed the lounge, so here we have Before: (which you have already seen ) And after: (I just HAD to post this - it'll never be this tidy again ) It's lovely sitting here in a nice clean lounge! We even took the huge fireguard down at last - I've got my fire back again (excuse the wires hanging down either side - OH is an electrician, therefore he doesn't do wires at home )
The Dogmother
While we're on fireplaces, here's my stove roaring away It's just so warm and snuggly. Note the scrounged wood from skips!
