Well,this is the LAST thing I expected!

The in-laws have just offered me thier green Eglu & 2 hens at no charge, as they no longer have the time to look after them.

 

We have always wanted to get chickens again,but sort of thought it would be much later in the year.

 

Also,we know we want more than 2 in the long term....so are going to have to think about introducing new faces to this established pair.

We are picking them up this weekend

One speckeldy called Garfield (WILL be changed,Poppy maybe) & a Pepperpot called Rosie.

 

I am grinning all over my face

 

Apparantly they want a dog,& as they only have a tiny garden & have had neighbour problems with the chickens,they thought they would be happier with us......& who am I to argue

I have Cleos chocolate fondue party starting in an hour & I really cannot concentrate on anything other than my new beaky friends!
