CatsCube
What can I wash a chicken with? My little frizzle is a bit dirty all over and could do with a bit of a wash, any ideas on what would be best to soap her down with?
Bondinho
In some of the guidance with my eglu, it says you use luke warm water with either normal shampoo, soap or a tiny bit of washing up liquid - think I'd go with a small bit shampoo myself. chrisnrob
When Audrey had a little bit of a messy behind the other week we stood her in a bowl of warm water with a little bit of Ecover washing up liquid in it. She was very good and made contended clucking noises as we gently washed her. She didn't struggle at all end even stood there quite calmly as Chris dried her off - bless! chelsea
i use Ecover aswell for bum washing and feet washing!
CatsCube
Yeah I used Ecover before for bum washing. I just dont want to get something like that in chookies eyes while crest washing. I do have a natural soap/shampoo that I use on the baby though which is kind to eyes so I will use that.

Yeah I dont for most of mine, with some of the more elaborate feathered breeds they cant clean themselves very well, Polands cant clean their own crests.
