Cinnamon
Hubby & I went to Tesco just before Christmas for a few foodie bits & pieces, & came back with a big flatscreen TV for the bedroom We had no intention of getting one,it just sort of happened. It has actually been a godsend - I have restricted all gaming to that TV, so don't have to hear the children playing at all
Snowy
Sounds great Louise! Many years ago I went to the butchers for a pound of sausages and came home with a lime green Austin Allegro (The car dealership was next door to the butchers and I was fed up my then Renault 5. Sadly the Allegro wasn't to be - OH made me cancel the deal Probably wisely )

Mel (& Paul)
When I was 17 I went into a shop to buy a shirt for my brother and came out with a husband............. Well, ok, it took us three years to actually get married
The Dogmother
But thats just NORMAL Clare I know; I'm afraid that I'm not much of an example - I'm pretty strict about not buying on impulse.
CatsCube
I can beat you, I went out to get wallpaper paste and booked my wedding instead. I was getting really miffed off with not being able to hang the wall paper and the house I was renovating and it all going wrong, decided to let of some steam and get some more wall paperpaste and supplies, so stopped off home to get my purse etc, and thought I would sit and have a break first and went on the computer, and somehow ended up booking my wedding. OH got home from work and I told him we were getting married in 4 months time and I had booked it and the honeymoon. I then proceeded to show him where etc. (I must stress the point that we were engagded but had not made any plans for getting married prior to that day.) Oh and on saturday I went shopping with the OH for him to get some glasses, I wasnt going to buy anything but somehow bought 2 pairs of glasses, a coat, boots, 2 tops, a pair of trousers and a necklace. little chickadee
We went on holiday ......................... and put an offer in for the cottage we were staying in. We said that we'd be back every year and they told us we couldn't as they were just about to put it on the market. .... All fell through in the end as they backed out. I'm really glad it did, although we were distraught at the time. This way we've still moved, but I'm nice and close to my family

chelsea
we are very impulsive. We went to hardware superstore for plug sockets and ended up test driving and putting a deposit down on a 6 month old Land Rover Freelander!!!
Egluntyne
How wrong I was to say that no-one was going to beat Snowy! That matches beautifully! I've been pondering about Louise's Robot Vacuum cleaner all day. I've even watched a video on 'tinterweb. It could be cleaning while I'm on the forum. Is this another example of the Omlet effect! It could be cleaning while I'm on the forum. Is this another example of the Omlet effect! Oh no, here we go again I do NOT need a robot vacuum cleaner, vacuuming keeps me fit!) I found this thread so funny, you guys are so awful I sometimes wish I wasn't so sensible with money, the only things I ever do are so tiny like going out for a black jumper and coming back with a red hat Tessa
