[AnnieP]

I am now convinced to start....on Easter holidays!

[Guest]

Well done AnnieP. We'll really be able to encourage you then as we will be 3 weeks in and hopefully seeing signs of improvement rather than despair!

[Cate in NZ]

I've not washed mine since Sunday, so it's only 4 days..... but that's 3 days longer than I expected to last I have been rinsing it with water daily though. It looks shiny, but I've got very fine and quite short hair, which looks very limp and flat if I don't use volumising products, hairdryer etc. etc. So far this week I've avoided all those, allowing it to dry naturally, so it is looking very flat, and whilst it doesn't look dirty, or smell, thank heavens, I do feel that I'm looking dreadful, and my scalp is getting a bit itchy, even though I've never suffered from an itchy scalp before Maybe it's psychological

Hubby's home on Saturday for the weekend thopugh, so I'll hang it out until then, maybe try a vinegar rinse, but if I can't inject a bit of oomph into it somehow I think I'll chicken out, especially if he makes any negative comments (he doesn't know that I'm doing this). Back to work on Monday anyhow, and I'm not able, or willing , to face that place looking less than groomed

[Sheilaz]

Oh, good luck, KateA, do you tip hair upside down to brush it? That really adds volume, starting at nape of neck & working round.

Also, Happymamma (thanks for excellent thread, what have you started! ) did suggest some people may use extra products, so maybe a bit of volumiser on the strands, would help. I'm sure the scalp will settle if you can give it a chance, but I do appreciate short hair must be harder to get started.

Hi Annie P, hope we are all still positive by end of March, so you do join in!

Hi SarahJo, I find the white vinegar doesn't have the same odour as the brown.

[Guest]

I've rinsed my hair with warm water this morning. Waiting now for it to dry, with fingers crossed for some improvement on yesterday! Will keep you posted!

I was shocked to see how far down the list this thread had gone and the last post was only last night! Fridays are always busy on the forum!

[Mrs Frugal]

My hair is feeling horrible today ! LSH said I smelt of vinegar last night so I've rinsed it really well with warm water today but although it looks absolutely fine, it's a bit itchy and feels quite thick and in need of a good shampoo! I'm going to try and hold out though!

[Guest]

I'm not happy either My hair is nearly dry and I can see that it is still quite dull. It feels quite thick and greasy on the top of my head although the rest of it is absolutely fine and feels really soft. On a positive note, I suspect it is slightly improved on yesterday

[PurpleHen]

I last did mine on Monday - and today is definatly the worst so far. I washed it with vinegar this morning, but it still feels like... urm... think it feels like I have put products on my hair and not washed them out properly, making it quit thick.

Also - has anyone else had a problem with static, every time I brush my hair it goes REALLY static

I'm supposed to be going out on Saturday night and normally have my hair down, I think it will have to be up this weekend though.....

[Chicken on a mission]

My hair has died a death today

I'm just getting through by rationalising that it is like that in betweeny stage when I grew my hair. I hated it and wanted it all cut off but now I'm glad I went through the pain barrier

[Guest]

Yes, Jackie, that's exactly how mine feels. I have put it up now, which looks tidier than usual with this new sleek and close-to-the-head look. I also last washed mine (with shampoo) on Monday.

I don't have a problem with static though. Mine is probably less static than usual (all that grease? ).

[Guest]

Which day are you on Chicken-on-a-mission?

[Guest]

Can we have photos of all this hair anguish please?

[Mrs Frugal]

Oh behave or you'll get some anguish yourself !

[Guest]

Oh behave or you'll get some anguish yourself !

Don't worry - I've got enough hair anguish of my own....

[Guest]

No!

[Chicken on a mission]

I think I last did mine on Saturday.

I just washed it through with hot water today as my theory was that vinegar would strip the oils and make it take longer to settle.

I just thought I'd try to get it over and done with as soon as posible!

[Nicola H]

My hair has less static and does feel a bit greasy today so I will rinse it again later...................Keep it up girls I am on day 9.

My photograph is in the thread somewhere Graham. I think everybody else should put a pic. on too...............

[Mrs Frugal]

And that includes GRAHAM!!

[Guest]

But I'm not participating in the experiment.

[Mel (& Paul)]

arent you?

oh..........

No..............

nothing..............

wasnt going to say anything............

[Chicken on a mission]

Why? Haven't you got any hair?

My hubby can't see what all the fuss is about as he never uses shampoo.

He has only ever had 2 haircuts, one for summer and one for winter.

The summer one is a grade 1 all over and the winter one....you've guessed it, a grade 2 all over for warmth

[Mrs Frugal]

But I'm not participating in the experiment.

But we need something for darts practise, don't we ?

[Mel (& Paul)]

Actually

I think I need to stick up for grd

He probably has no hair left because he's torn it all out trying to help me get rid on my white box red cross / no picture problem.

So dont pick on him

At least not for the next 20 minutes

[Guest]

I have a grade 1. But in places I have a grade -1.

[Mrs Frugal]

Oh bless . Wish mine was like that today! Might feel a bit less....ugh!
