Shiney Chez
Can you give chickens rainwater from a water butt?
Chicken Licken
Definitely. Mine much prefer any water they 'find' rather than the boring old tap water I give them in the glug.
Blackrocksrock
I would be giving them it no bother as they drink water from every receptacle left lying with water in it outside and the muckier the better!
chelsea
mine like drinking puddles! so it should be fine.

jomaxsmith
Mine especially like to drink the water after I've drenched a poo on the patio I was giving mine water from the butt occasionally but when I put some in a white bucket the other day I noticed the water was very green so I've emptied the butt and will make sure it's not stagnant when I use it. Jamesw
I`m thinking of giving my chickens water from our waterbut because the don`t seem to drink it when it`s cold And when I tip it out they start drinking the water. Jamesw

WitchHazel
Offtopic I know but...Ash, why no names?
Ash
I dont know to be honest. In the house we have 3 gerbils that have no names and a cat that doesnt have an official name although the kids call it Princess. Its just something I have never got around to doing. They get loved all the same
