We used to have them built into the lease cars we had when hubby stopped the lease cars and got a new motorbike and a 2 door Astra for an adult family of 5 long story, i said we had to have a Satnav. I don't mind map reading but he has no patience and swears at me all the time

The Dogmother
I'm the same Pam - I can't drive and read the map as well, so it's down to memorising the route and stopping again when I've got to the last bit Rosie is getting fairly good at reading maps now though - it started with me asking her to read the road numbers because I didn't have my specs on.,.. and she's not bad now. peanut12
our Navman system is great - without it my wife would never leave the house and our daughter deryn would not get to go to any kids parties. Even took us right to the door of Omlet when we travelled up to collect our Eglu and first 2 girls.

Chillicat
I pestered my company for one as I am constantly on the road. I would much prefer Multimap, asking directions and sorting it out for myself. If you can't read maps and are totally uselsess with directions then any sat nav will do.............BUT........if you have a good sense of direction, a sat nav is not for you! I have an Indago, which detects speed cameras (defo plus) and the monthly upgrade is £4.95 per month. Good luck with your choice!
chickencam
There are some scary voices, so like most on here we chose Jane We have discovered that it has the names, addresses and phone numbers of local doctors etc on the walk to help feature
Karen & co.
This was an appropriate thread to read We have a map reader - me, and a driver who ignores the map reader I usually give instructions ie turn next left, next left, and he'll go straight on or right ( being dyslexic doesn't help him ) and when I ask why, he just did it because it looked an OK way to go We drove through Dublin City yesterday it's a good job it was 7.30 in the morning and not rush hour, all because he ignored the direction to turn left thinking we needed to go further into Dublin first. It's his birthday in May perhaps he might like instructions from John Cleese Karen x
