Scooby
DH put the new girls to bed last night in the dark. He said he looked inside the introductory house to see they were all in before closing the door. This morning, I get up to let the girls out, here's Frenchy outside in the run scoffing away at the mash Door to intro house is still closed. He's only gone and locked her out all night Will she be ok? I feel really bad for her as she is an ex batt girl and I'm gutted she was left out in the dark all my herself. She's not quite as bald as a couple of them and seems ok at the moment.
Keanie Bean
I wouldnt feel too bad, it wasnt a cold night last night. I went out about 9 and it was almost balmy. Just keep an eye on her, give her a few treats and pay her a bit of extra attention. Sarah.x
The Bantam of the Opera
i recently got 2 new girls and one of them went missing every night at about dusk, i looked for her everhwhere, for about 2 hours, and couldnt find her so i had to lock her out for the night. finally i found out shed been roosting in my holly tree, despite having had her wings clipped, but she was out 2 nights in a row and she seemed fine. Egluntyne
If she was scoffing.....she must be unscathed! It wasn't too cold last night so no harm done. Ask him to do a quick head count tonight!
BeckyBoo
I was going to say the same, if she's scoffing she must be fine! Dirty stop out, probably had the time of her life listening to all the sounds of the night! Mrs B

Flo
Maybe it was a cunning plan on her part to be first to the feeder this morning!

Ziggy
My daughter did that once... she went to clean up the chooks and feed them at the end of the afternoon... she had closed the door of the eglu with the chooks in the run so she could clean it up... then fed them, closed everything up and came back in with a smug, proud, 'job well done' look on her face, just as it was getting dark.... I didn't go to check... the next morning found she had done a really perfect job... except for one tiny thing... she'd left the door between the eglu and the run closed after finishing her clean up... so chooks spent all night sleeping under the stars... The girls were fine...
superjules
My wyandotte likes to sleep out in the open - on top of the eglu (inside the big run). I have to go out after it's been dark for an hour and put her to bed sometimes.
