chelsea
Just wondering around the country what time you get your post delivered? Im so fed up with our delivery we get it sooo late. We never get our post before 2pm and somedays its nearly 3pm which is ridiculous. Not the poor postman/postwoman's fault I know (so im not blaming them). But I can remember years ago when I was a young'un I would eagerly run to the door when the post came before 7am!! Does anyone get their post in the morning and sit and read it at the breakfast table anymore? (like the old days!! )

AMO
During the week ours never gets here before 11am and on a Saturday anytime between 7-9am Gone are the days of reading post at breakfast
Guest
Our post is always delivered after I've left for work, usually between 10 and 11. I also remember the good old days when your post was brought to you bright and early, before you left for work. My parents had to cancel their milk delivery via the milkman because he was always bringing their fresh milk after they had gone to work. Which obviously then got warm on sunny days... Ana's flock
Whenever it wants! some days early in the morning, some days we haven't had it until about 4ish afternoon! ...a tad erratic I could say.
Goosey Lucy
Genarally sometime after midday during the week but when our postman has his regular dayoff it can be nearer to 4 or 5pm. On Saturday it's generally here by 9.
chelsea
it can be nearer to 4 or 5pm. blimey! I thought 3pm was late! I just find it really annoying, at the moment im job hunting so im awaiting application forms etc so when they arrive late it doesnt give me much time to fill them in and send them by return of post...(I like to be organised ) Edited April 11, 2008 by Guest
Guest
Between 10-12 am during the week We rarely have post on a Saturday but if we do it is around 10am
Tessa the Duchess
Anytime between 9.00am and 3.00pm Quite honestly I wouldn't want to read my post while eating breakfast, it's all bills or just rubbish mail these days, people don't write letters any more Tessa
Guest
Funnily enough though all the places I have worked have always had their post delivered before I get there. So maybe registered businesses get priority now?
Flo
Mine arrives between 9am and 10am I think (I leave the house at 6:50am to go to work) most days. My milkman is brilliant though, milk delivered before 6am!

Guest
Ours arrives at about 10ish, apart from on a Thursday when Alisdair the postie has his day off, then the post arrives anytime after 3pm.
Basset
Ours arrives about 1pm. Earlier at the weekend - maybe 10am.
Scooby
Ours arrives about 11.45 ish during the week, which is a bit of a pain as I often get work to mark and would love to get this out of the way on a morning. What makes me more annoyed is that it always turns up before 8 am on a Saturday which is typical as I have to sign for it, which means I never get a sleep in If it can be here so early on a Saturday how is a week day any different? little chickadee
Funnily enough though all the places I have worked have always had their post delivered before I get there. So maybe registered businesses get priority now? Nope - not our business anyway We get ours between 2 & 3pm. We're in the country though, so I don't know if this has any bearing. Our postman has to do quite a few villages I think. He goes around first thing doing all the "guaranteed before 10am" deliveries, then goes around again doing the other stuff! Lesley
Funnily enough though all the places I have worked have always had their post delivered before I get there. So maybe registered businesses get priority now? Yes, they are done first! Our postman does a town business round first and then our rural round. We get our post between midday and 2pm - Saturdays it is between 8am and 9am. that's on the days when we get any of course..... we still have problems with no post at all at times
poachedegg
Ours is about 10 to 10.30 ish...much earlier on a Saturday (think postie wants and early finish )
Charlottechicken
My post arrives between 11am and 1pm on weekdays, and after 8am on a Saturday. Our postie was trialling an electric trike with a huge rigid lockable trailer up until recently, and the post was a lot earlier. Postie could get his whole round in the lock up trailer, along with parcels and such. Royal Mail didn't take up the trikes though, even though the posties loved them
missuscluck
Wow, everyones post varies A LOT! I think ours arrives abot 10 ish but to be honest I am never here to verify that. Suffice to say it isnt here when I leave for work.
