I know who he reminds me of...the Walking Man statue by George Fullard that used to be outside the Egg Box extension of Sheffield Town Hall!

 

 

He invariably had a fag end stuck in his mouth and a traffic cone on his head.

 

He is outside the Winter Gardens now.

It's brilliant! Shame to eat it - but I bet it was was a good tasty man!

I once had a carrot that looked like a pair or legs with a bit 'extra' in the middle!

 

Perhaps your battered man was Tony Harts Morph, slipped into the batter mix!
