Mrs Frugal
I always give my girls some cabbages, broccoli etc tied up in the run if they don't have access to grass just to give them some greenery to peck at.

Egluntyne
can you grow perpetual spinach in a pot ? I did last year. It is still going strong and thriving on neglect. I plan to plant a few this year for the hens.

I give our girls broccoli or greens tied up in the run. I put them up in the morning but wondered if this is right, should I wait until the afternoon to make sure they eat their pellets Chrissie
Olly
'Perpetual' spinach ... yes, I had some of that before the chickens got to it. They don't know the meaning of 'leave some for next time'!
