moochoo
Well done Rapsody. It's a nice feeling when you don't have to miss out on the fun just because you're dieting. I'm sure those last few pounds will soon vanish, you're so focussed on getting there. Good for you.
Happy chickens!
Keep it up! Have lost motivation (ok didn't have much) Cold weather, comfort food and no exercise, ah well, don't think I've put any on...
TheGirlsMum
Can I join in please? Realistically I have a stone and a half to loose but if I manage to loose a stone I would be over the moon. At school this year a few Mums have been getting weighed in on a Tuesday morning I provide the scales but was ashamed to take part. We try and go for a mile walk around the cross country course that is in a woodland and on the hill behind school. I usually manage this about 3 times a week, I have been taking the collie to school with me to make sure I don't chicken out. I wasn't dieting and had put a further 2 lbs on since Christmas but had an awakening this week and weighed in at home before school and I have lost 3lbs this week. I do miss food (snacks between meals) and I do become very snappy and ill tempered but Im going to try and stick it out. Hope you don't mind me being here Im very weak willed but now Ive put it in writing hopefully I will keep to it. Thanks for listening.
Lesley
Hello TGM - all welcome in here....and we all slip sometimes! I did last week but then meeting up with Moochoo on Saturday spurred me to get my act together . There are plenty of tips for meals and snacks - just ask if you want specific ideas. moochoo
Hi TGM welcome to the group. Hope we can inspire you. I had a good weigh in last night. I've lost 4lb this week. I've got that 21st party on Saturday so it will be interesting to see the reactions from OH's family to our weight loss. We haven't seen most of them since August. We started LL in September. They'll be a disco so it's a good excuse to make a fool of myself and dance to music I've never heard of. It's good exercise We'll be staying clear of the buffet and hoping the water's cheap. How's everyone else doing this week?
Rhapsody
eek! Half a pound back on. Mind you I have been stuffing slices of Chorizo in my face every time I've opened the fridge so hey ho. One of my WW buddies got to Goal last night I was so pleased for her.

chickencam
Going through a baking phase at the moment, it's hubby's birthday on Saturday, so more baking and I am really tired and fed up with winter, so struggling not to comfort eat at the moment. Never mind there is plenty of inspiration here and it is nearly spring
moochoo
Don't be hard on yourselves. This cold weather really doesn't help. I've found the last fortnight really hard with cravings for stodgy winter warmers. I have the advantage of having no food in the house to tempt me. You're both doing so well and are really looking great on your losses so far. Try and remember how well you've done overall rather than one week at at time. You'll get there. craftyhunnypie
Well I've lost 8lb in 3 weeks , but going on holiday. At least if I put it all on I will only be back where I started - rather than start weight plus my gain. I've got a bit of flexabilty now. moochoo
Had a good night at the 21st birthday bash. We were a very cheap night out as the water was free from the bar and we took a bar to eat when everyone was having buffet food. We had lots of really lovely comments from OH's family. After all the hassle trying to find an outfit I did feel a little over dressed. Most people were wearing jeans. Hey ho! I thought I post you a pic of me in my finery. moochoo
Well, I'd got something to show off about! Didn't want to be talked about for not looking my best. Although, I think most of the males at the party were more interested in the front aspect of my attire What a floozy!

Lesley
Lovely photo of you in the dress Sarah! I've stayed the same this week - a bit disappointing after all the effort I put into doing more exercise I actually made my 5 x half hours last week I shall do the same this week though - and write my meal plan again as well. After my recent bout of very painful diverticulitis I want to be careful and make sure I eat enough veg - if I'm tired or eat without planning/thinking I tend to eat less veggies. The meal plan helps.

Lesley
Thanks Sarah - it's nice to have the support I did actually feel thinner this morning. Aquafat today was ..............odd! We had a young lad taking the class as Alison is away for two weeks. I think he thought he was teaching a class of young lads how to box ! Very much a boxercise class He seemed to not realise that we were all too old for that, everything is falling apart and most of us are heaving around half a ton of lard He had us in groups of 4 sitting astride a float noodle, bunny hopping across the pool, complete with hands making rabbit ears and giving piggy backs to our partners while performing lunges across the pool I think we provided the entertainment for the other half of the pool - all youngsters and parents and grandparents No doubt we'll have found muscles we didn't know we had....and a change is always good .....but I've been hungry ever since, despite trying all the tricks like a mug of bouillon 'soup', carrot sticks and a small amount of cheese (because that's what I really wanted - well, a large amount of cheese was what I wanted really ) Def. photos required Rhapsody..... Rhapsody
Lesley i remember well when I used to teach Aqua, if I went on holiday I would always come back to a ton of moaning about my stand-in. Most instructors don't have a flippin' clue what to do in the water and don't take the age/weight/ability demographic Aqua attracts into account. Mind you I used to do the same as your instructor- get a hunky man in so at least they had something to look at! Well done TGM!

I just couldn't stop laughing - mostly at all the deafer, older people - no doubt I won't be laughing in a few years time They couldn't hear a word he said with the loud music on as well I'll be glad when Alison is back - at least she understands bingo wings and she joins us in the water, only hopping out to demonstrate something new. Mind you - she doesn't understand the concept of inertia - tells us to go faster and can't comprehend that you can't go faster when your stomach and bottom are still going in a different direction! Well done Sha - it's difficult when you're at home with youngsters, how about carrot sticks?
