Snoxy
I've never been so worried about breaking an egg before Really thought it would be Fifi who would lay first as she has been crouching for 3/4 days and Cleopatra only started crouching yesterday...she is our most buxom beauty tho I got back from the school run and noticed Cleopatra was in the Eglu for a few minutes...I said to DH she could be laying as she only goes in there when it is raining heavily or roost time...she came out after about 25 minutes & I raced up the garden...just couldn't believe my eyes when I checked the nesting box I texted a photo to friends and family immediately and have more photos to e-mail...they'll think I am completely bleep barmy I've just never thought of an egg as such a 'dear little miracle' before Ah bless

Ms Tilytinkle
Dance .. DANCE ?? teee hee is that in obligatory pj's or dressy gown, bed socks, hat & wellies Ms Tilyhasnorhythym
Snowy
No rhythm needed, PJs and wellies are obligatory! Snoxy - when you found your egg, did you jump up and down and run up the garden shouting 'I've got one!' or words to that effect? If you did, that was the egg dance
Snoxy
I sprinted up the garden in my bright orange imitation crocs...carefully took hold of egg...and sprinted back down the garden saying very loudly in my head...we've got an egg..DH was in the library so it was nearly cold by the time he emerged I wasn't wearing pj's or wellies cos I always get dressed before taking the gang to school...and I only wear my wellies when on poo patrol

FruitandNutCake
It is just sooo exciting when those first eggs arrive. I guess I'm lucky only having to wait 5 days. And they seem so special - not like shop bought ones!
