Hellcat
OK. I used to love spam fritters. It was the closest thing I got to junk food (banned in my parents house!) Liver - love it! Cooked well, still slightly pink, with a big pile of mash and onion gravy. Don't get to eat it much now days as no one else in the family like it but I have it if we go out for a pub lunch, and the hub and kids go 'yuk' as I tuck in. Linda
Ooh, Helen, I think I'm in the same boat as you! I do like liver - liver and bacon casserole - lovely! I also don't cook it often because it's only me who likes it. Life would be so much easier if everyone just ate what I like!!!
Popcorn
I used to love spam fritters: I've never had a fritter in my life. Are they the deep fried things in batter
Mel (& Paul)
Yup When we were in Glasgow last year, the butchers sold a number of things deep fried in batter, ready to be popped in the microwave when you got home (yum,,,,,,,) I particularly liked the sound of "deep fried battered ECONOMY burgers". Or, I should qualify that by saying, yum when I had school dinners.

The Dogmother
I remember spam fritters in school lunches Helen, and that was way before you're time. Ours had fried onion on top and were delicious!

The Dogmother
My nephew (who is 7) will only eat that sort of food (partly because that's all my sister will cook ), he lives on nuggets and burgers and dry, sugary breakfast cereal! My mother says 'it can't be doing him any harm; he's always full of energy'. Methinks this has more to do with the number of additives he eats
