Guest
It's Itchy and Scratchy - from the "Itchy and Scratchy Show" - whci is always on the TV in the simpsons. martin - Itchy and Scratchy are ironic - and the Simpsons is cool - so there! Lesley
I thought it was Tom and Jerry - I'll put my glasses on sometime
Guest
Itchy & Scratchy are a much-more over-the-top version of Tom & Jerry - in that there is blood! (That;s why they look a bit like Tom & Jerry!) it's an ironic statement about violence in american culture being a form of entertainment. The Simpsons is one of the sharpest shows on TV in the way it critiques American "Culture" Phil
buffie
I thought it was Tom and Jerry - I'll put my glasses on sometime i don't watch the simpsons (am I allowed to confess that) i also thought od Tom and Jerry. I think I need to go and live far far away...... Like it by the way. BBx

Guest
My goodness Phil we are agreeing on something that won't do Louise! It wouldn't be proper! errr....... Santa's Little Helper is way better than Snowball, Snowball II, Snowball III or Coltrane or snowball V (or II for trivia fans) Hurrah for Santa's Little Helper! Boooooo! for Snowball II Meditations on Turning Eight by Lisa Simpson I had a cat named Snowball She died! She died! Mom said she was sleeping She lied! She lied! Why oh why is my cat dead? Couldn't that Chrysler hit me instead? I had a hamster named Snuffy He died... (at this point, Homer interrupts and the rest of the poem is unheard) Phil (in the spirit of disagreement!) Chicken on a mission
The Simpsons is one of the sharpest shows on TV in the way it critiques American "Culture" I totally agree. It isn't just a cartoon, it is an intelligient comment on the way our lives are all starting to go Homer: Lisa, would you like a donut? Lisa: No thanks. Do you have any fruit? Homer: This has purple in it. Purple is a fruit. Homer: Are you saying you're never going to eat any animal again? What about bacon? Lisa: No. Homer: Ham? Lisa: No. Homer: Pork chops? Lisa: Dad, those all come from the same animal. Homer: Heh heh heh. Ooh, yeah, right, Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal.
