LJ's Chooks
...does it always rain on child free days when i'm supposed to be in the garden planting out potatoes (now really late) and runner beans! Only one tiny egg so far today, I don't think the girls like it either, they don't get as many treats!

Popcorn
...and when you have the garden being done and the workmen clear off home for the day out of the rain leaving the garden in another messy state again for the children to run riot around and bring mud back in to the house? law of the sod I suspect?! ubereglu
It's always the way isn't it! Anyway, my lovely friend gave me a lift home yesterday after a maths revision session as I didn't have an umbrella or a hooded coat!
Basset
and why does it usually rain at school pick up time? I so agree with you on this. I seem to always get soaked through on the school run!!!! Maybe its all the school mum's starting up their cars, that induces the rain to fall!!!!
Seagazer
Thats not me!! I always walk - the dog needs walking. In fact I've just been out today to buy a new rain coat!! ajm200
Why, when you've got a house full of toddlers and their mums who've come to see the chickens, does it start to rain when you've just spent 10 mins getting everyone into coats and shoes and out of the door? Equally, why does the rain stop the minute you've got everyone back inside, out of their coats and shoes and just made a cuppa?

I have to keep changing trousers everytime I come home too.... too much washing now We seem to get drenched almost every school run lately. We have a lovely cross-country walk to get to school and also walk the hound at the same time. But I too get through lots of trousers, especially as the children love puddle-sploshing and it always seems to splosh my way.
Seagazer
and why when i have just started to empty the old playhouse and throw out the rubbish in skip does it start thundering and lightening???? Grr! And it looks like its going to chuck it down.... At this rate the poor chickens will have nowhere to hang their hats at night!
Snowy
Aaah! Lovely afternoon pottering in the back garden, lots of sunshine, not a cloud in sight. Walk in the back door, put shoes on, out the front door and into a humungous black cloud Risk walking to school without coat (it is only across the road) On the way home the heavens opened and we were drenched In through front door, take shoes off, go to back door and look out - glorious sunshine, not a cloud in sight! (But my washing is now wet again) I think my house is in the twilight zone!
Seagazer
Mine must be too Snowy - my YS not at school because of the election thing - a friend phoned to ask us out to the park. Thought we could do with a break from demolishing playhouse. As soon as we got there big clap of thunder, lightening and the heavens opened Still did mean when I got home I had a very nice relaxing hot bubble bath p.s. got the playhouse finished with the help of ES and all done, now just got to get paving slabs and the space will be ready for my chooks!! Yipee!
