We were invited out for lunch on Saturday at Daylesford Organics near Kingham in Gloucestershire.

Really fabulous food in their Organic restaurant, also an organic farm shop, organic farm, grounds & gardens and a clothing store (a bit pricey!!). After a few Organic Ciders while dining outdoors in their bar & restaurant I decided to treat my self to this :roll:

She seems to be settling in quite nicely after the initial squabbles :wink:

when i clicked on the thread i didnt think the impulse buy would be a chicken!! :lol::lol:

 

she's very pretty I love the photo where she's striding past the others in the background....she has her head held high in the air as if she's snubbing them!! :lol:

Lovely.

 

What is her name?

 

We had the day in Birmingham yesterday (Sun) at the annual "Punk Festival" called "Academy in the UK". 12 bands from midday until 2.00am headlined by The Buzzcocks and The Damned so we thought we'd stick with our theme of Punk Rock Chicken names and call her......................"POGO" :roll:

Having a problem today.

 

Pogo the new chicken appears to quite enjoy "laying her egg" in the nesting box while sharing with others, a experience the other 4 appear to really hate as before her arrival it was a single occupancy experience!!!!!

There is more than enough room but the original 4 are having none of it and spent the morning chasing her out of the nesting box while they were "laying" :roll:

We get a row when Bertha our Light Sussex wants to lay because she doesn't like to share and doesn't seem to see why the others can't wait for her or get out of the nest box and come back later when she decides she needs it. We are waiting for complaints from the neighbours because she makes rather a lot of noise :shock:

It was my Light Sussex that started it today. Loads of noise coming from my Cube so when I went to investigate I found the Light Sussex sat in the nesting box and Pogo trying to join her :lol:
