Mrs Frugal
I don't have them thanks to a coil for my endless years of pain, fainting and sickness! Saw these in boots though. BBx It's not just our thumbs we have in common then, Buffie .
kazaddress
only 1 problem you have to remember that your "on" because you dont feel it, its easy to forget (I could always feel tampons) very easy to use. and its lovely not having to worry about bins when you visit people / out and about! KateB
I can't fault mine, it's brilliant - took me a couple of months to get used to as the stem was too long but now I'd never go back to towels or tampons. It's so easy and convenient and I especially like the fact that you don't have to faff about with bins etc. - plus I'm saving tonnes of money into the bargain - environmentally and financially friendly! The Dogmother
I think I might get one then - I've got some supplies to use up, but will get one and have a couple of trial runs to see how it goes.
Chicken on a mission
Claret I was just thinking the same. I may well have a box of 30 to use up but I think I'll get it this month anyway so that I definately do - if you get what I mean
red
I'm going to get one too. I'll trial it round the house before venturing out with it so the existing stock won't be wasted. It's probably best to get one while you've still got your usual stocked at home because if you're having probs and going out you'll want to have something ready to use. Chicken on a mission
That's a good point red. I hadn't considered the fact the mooncup and I might not get on Edited May 11, 2006 by Guest

AnnieP
OK, I've just ordered one. I'm not sure it will work for me ( very large fibroid), but will be interested to see. Will let you know in a couple of weeks!
Guest
The way I looked at it when I first got it was that, even if I only used it for half my cycle, on the lighter days - then it would still be a few less tampons and towels used every month. As it is, I have been amazed at how much it holds, and can use it for the whole week. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, It's fab and would thoroughly recommend it to everyone! Trish
I've used one for about 4 years now and can't fault it. I have Endometriosis and it's coped better than anything else I've ever had. It makes my cramps easier not worse, and that's no easy task, so I'm sorry to hear it had the opposite effect for someone else. Along with the enviromental benefits I've saved a fortune on tampons. kazaddress
Im glad I started this thread now. I think the most comfortable thing is the fact you dont get that horrible tugging when your "light" that always made me cringe.. *shudder*
Louise
Does it cope as well with light as I am rarely anything but

Trish
Brilliant even for spotting. With the Endo treatment I have I get random days of spotting, just use my mooncup same way and it's great
Louise
Oh okay it is worth a thought I hate tampons as I am so very light nost times and because I do lots of changing and showering at work pads are often not an option
KateB
None of that nasty risk of toxic shock syndrome either - just another little benefit I've remembered!
PurpleHen
I've just ordered one too - I had never heard of anything like this before. Thanks Kaz
Happymama
I saw these on SALE in Boots some time ago, picked on up, read the blub, then put it down again. Now you've inspired me. Will see if my branch still has some on cheap, but probably not, they' were probably not selling. I'm a green kinda girl, as you've all probably gathered, what with the hair and the nappies etc, but I always wondered how the mooncup would cope with my twin periods - every 2nd month I have what amounts to being a double period, and by gum, do I know it! Do Mooncups leak? What happens if they get overfull? Gory details please. Men, just look the other way. Although I don't suppose knowing some of these mysteries won't do you any harm. Guest
If it overfills, then it leaks slightly. Mine occasionally leaks, but I'm aware that for the first 48 hours, I'm THAT heavy, even the mooncup may leak, so I wear a towel at night, along with the mooncup. However, if you go to the website, they do state that it holds several times more than a tampon (I can't remember the amount off hand), and the amount of times mine has leaked is nothing compared to how much a tampon would leak.
