Recommended Posts

I'm so excited - I am picking up two more ex-bats to add to my flock today 8) I've been wanting to rehome more for ages - hubby is surprised everytime I come back from a rescue without more

I was in the run until 10ish last night cleaning the spare house and temporary run for them so it all fresh and clean.

Must only come home with 2. Must only come home with 2. Must only come home with 2.

Will post piccies leter (if I can tear myself away)

Betty escaped and was determined to bask in the sun! Not for long though with all that skin exposed!

While Goldie decided the Eglu nesting box was for her (although she didn't produce an egg)

Aaaaahh! 8)

Three's not bad AMO - it could have been a lot worse!

Tell me about it! I had picked out Wilma and Betty, but, Goldie kept catching my eye - she looks fully feathered from the top of her head but when she flaps her wings she is completely bald from her chest all the way down the length of her body and above her tail.

The little wooden house is not ideal really - they have all squeezed in there tonight, but. Betty is hanging halfway out the front door!

My cube will be another 6 weeks so I will have to make a plan for tomorrow night.

The other girls were very vocal about their new neighbours so we have had to put up a half fence panel between the runs so they cannot see them. Hazel was bokbokking so loudly - it sounded like like a really loud cackling - I dread to think what the neighbours made of the commotion

Thanks everyone - I'll post some pictures in a few weeks so you can see how they are coming along.

The new girls have settled in so well - they all roosted in the little house without any encouragement and we came back from the NEC yesterday to find a beautful brown egg in the nesting box! :o

Clever girls 8)
