Hello Everyone

 

I have been looking at the Omlet website and club forum for the past week and am very excited about becoming a chicken owner. It has taken a while but finally have the thumbs up from LSH. I am going to my first hen party in Reading on 6th July. We would like to offer a home to three ex batts and house them in an Eglu Cube. I have emailed the Battery Hen Welfare Trust to put my name on the waiting list. Can't wait to get started - in fact I think this has become an obsession - I guess it's OK though as this seems to be an accepted state of mind on this website! :D

Welcome :-)

 

Soon you'll find yourself talking chickens to people ..... a lot!! Also be prepared to develop an interest in chicken poo as well :-)

 

We are so happy with our chooks - they kind of do make a big change to your life :oops:

 

And this forum is fantastic support !!!!!!!

Hi & welcome.

I guess you must be pretty near to me if you are going to a hen party in Reading - I am just outside of Henley.

let me know if you want to see another Eglu (got a couple in various colours!) or a cube after the hen party :D

Hi Angel,

 

I'm so glad that my post cheered you up. As I work in the corporate world, there's no way I could have that as a ring tone. So when I am feeling down, I just play that on my PC and it makes everyone laugh out loud.

Everyone will be wondering, seemed bad at the time but I feel better about it now. I had laser eye surgery 5 years ago and it went wrong, today I was finally told that nothing more could be done! :(

 

As I say, felt sad earlier on, but feel better about it, things could be SO much worse, I could have no sight at all! :shock:

 

I am normally a 'half full' girl!
