Olly
Anybody else just staggered away from the TV set in a daze? I stopped watching Wimbledone a few years ago, because I found the tennis had just become so boring - all power shots and egos. I just happened to turn this on, and it was such an exciting match, I thought I'd tape it while I went and did the gardening. Came back in, watched what I'd recorded - was gutted when the recording ran out ... and then I realised it was STILL going on! What a fantastic match - two really great players and some brilliant tennis. We'll be lucky if the quarter-finals, or even the final, are as good as that. Helen&Lee
OH has just sat glued to the tennis match too - he says Andy Murray is actually quite a good player. He was impressed with his range of shots and reckons he's better than Tim Henman was! Helen
Sunshine
I'm usually not a tennis fan but i had it on in the background and then started watching and couldn't turn it off.The only problem is that i don't understand the way they score it as it looks different to me with every match they plan.So glad they didn't have to carry on tomorrow.Murray is up against Nadal now isn't he? sparkysmum
Yes a simply fantastic match. Makes me proud to be from Dunblane, what a homecoming he'll have, no matter what happens now. Best tennis I've seen since Connors/McEnroe & Co
Egluntyne
Gripping wasn't it. The crowd were fantastic.
Lesley
Gripping wasn't it. Makes a change from Griping then! I had to keep popping back in to watch - and didn't think he would do it. It was a really good match. I don't bother to watch until the second week now - and never watch womens tennis......I can't stand all that grunting
superjules
I thought the crowd were obviously excited but to start clapping at double faults and booing Gasquet for taking a loo break is simply not on. Top notch match though! I was surprised Gasquet didn't ask for the final game to be carried over, he had a real case with the light at that point. Egluntyne
I can't stand all that grunting Same here. Can't see the point.....unless it is unnerve your opponent. At least Monica Seles has cleared off.....she was the worst ever for that. Anyone else think Tim Henman looks odd with clothes on?
Louise
I never watch tennis but I went up to bed to watch the drama thingy and obviously discovered the match instead and wow I was hooked every point seemed to go right to the edge they were so well matched The french chappy did ask the umpire a couple of times to carry over but was refused I think he was tiring rather than the light being the main issue
..lay a little egg for me
Anyone else think Tim Henman looks odd with clothes on? Wow Egluntine, which channel have you been watching? I'm sure he had clothes on when I saw him on Today at Wimbledon, but keen to turn to your channel... No, I do know what you mean....he does look strange...a bit too 'straight'! Could do with more of the Pat Rafter (sp?) look I think! I wouldn't mind seeing him in the buff...
buffie
It was brilliant and I'll be cheering for Andy BBx

I was surprised Gasquet didn't ask for the final game to be carried over, he had a real case with the light at that point. I think he did? He was asking earlier, a couple of games into the final set after Murray broke his serve, but they played for nearly another half an hour and by that time it was much darker. chickencam
I used to be an avid tennis fan, when the children were small they knew that daddy was in charge during Wimbledon fortnight, but for the last few years it has largely left me cold. I listened to both of Murray's previous 2 matches on the radio whilst weeding the allotment and they sounded good, so OH and I decided to forego the allotment last night to watch, we nearly gave up after 2 and a half sets but we hung in there and so did Andy Vintage Wimbledon He reminded me of Jimmy Connors, took 2 sets to get into gear and then wow what a change around It can't have been much fun for Gasque but when you are playing a British person on Centre Court at Wimbledon it comes with the territory. ubereglu
His match was absolutely amazing! Especially as the third set went to match point and if Murray hadn't have won the set he would have lost the whole Match. Apparently Gasquet, before yesterday, had never lost a match where he'd won the first two sets. It really was a WOW moment when Murray won!
