Well I am very impressed with the Flitraps I received ...Put them out yesterday morning and there are quite a few in there already. Many thanks to the member who posted about them a while ago. [Have tried to find original thread but no luck]

The attractant did make me "pucker" shall we say when I added the water but can honestly say I can't smell them today at all.

My cat loves the smell of the fli-trap! When I was making it she was practically trying to get in the pot and now that it is hung up she sits next to it all day long.

My chooks are going under a tree so I was thinking of getting one of these and climbing as high as I can up the tree above the eglu to put it there. Hopefully this will stop the stink but will it be as effective?

Oh no! Do they stink? I've bought one and have it on stand-by but we've not had a fly problem yet - the citronella/eucalyptus spray seems to be doing the trick nicely so far. I'm going to be miffed if we have to cope with a minging smell if the flies do get worse

Did anyone hear the chap on Radio 2 last week talking about Flitraps? Almost made me want to buy one but I don't have any flies (so far ).

Yes, he was on the chris evans show, talking about how vile flies are. Think I might order a flitrap now. Chris Evans talks a lot about chickens and other stuff that comes up on this forum (i.e. Flitraps). I reckon it will be egg skelters next. Chris are you a forum member????
