Faye&Ant
On the way to work this morning the tube got stuck in a tunnel and there was a heavily pregant woman standing who was getting quite hot and bothered. A young girl kept staring at her and didnt move and a man just ignored and closed his eyes and pretended he was asleep. 10 minutes passed before an older lady got from her seat and gave it to her. I felt bad because I felt like shouting at the ignorant people who didnt NEED a seat. yes we will all pay alot of money but its not a necessity for your journey
Louise
This has cheered me up no end I agree with *most* of what has been said but today my gripes are People who think it is okay to take their children out of school for 2 weeks for a holiday because it costs more in the holidays It is called supply and demand deal with it you chose to have children and hey guess what it means you have to modify your lifestyle a bit I pay for those children to have the right to go to school and I can't afford to go swanning off to wherever for a fortnight either I don't have the choice to withold my contribution so I can afford it do I I really shouldn't watch GMTV in the mornings People sniffing I was buying a paper this morning and the guy behind me in the queue never stopped bloomin well sniffing if it was me I would be worried about the state of my septum

I DO blow my nose though I'm not letting anything annoy me at the moment, just grateful that the op went well, I have a goodly amount of time off now, the meds are making me feel very chilled and nothing will annoy me... today at least

Guest
Just had to phone an insurance company and part way thru explaining why I'd called, the advisor interrupted me and I completely lost my train of thought and said so. When I finished explaining, she said "Can I speak now?" in a sarcastic tone of voice. It annoys me when phone advisors cut you dead mid sentence because they just want to get you off the phone as quick as possible. The shorter the call, the more calls they can take and they probably get a bonus for taking the most calls. I know because I used to do a similar job but I refused to cut calls short just because of bonuses etc I gave every caller my full attention! Reminds me of that HSP questionnaire about being conscientious. Companies that bonus employees for getting rid of callers as quick as possible annoy me too! jomaxsmith
I'm married to a people hater too - which is why we have thus far taken our children out of school in term time for our holidays (fewer Brits abroad). Sorry to the OP but, to be honest, I don't really think my children are going to be worse off for missing school at this age (they're 6 and 4!) My personal peeves: Umbrellas (why has nothing better been invented?) Those people in documentaries who think it's their right to have 20 children while on benefits and to spend all their money on booze and fags while the children drag themselves up in filth and neglect Jo
Clash City Rocker
It's lovely to be back guys; with my family and furry and feathered babies, and eating decent food! Guest
....Umbrellas (why has nothing better been invented?) that reminds me, that stupid rim on a can of coke that gathers a ring of coke. I sometimes share a can with my hubbie and always ask him to suck his cokey dribble from the rim before handing the can back! Why haven't they invented a can that doesn't collect dribble???? Lapinou
people who think they've done research into vaccines by reading the Daily Mail! - Wouldn't the word 'newspapers' have been slightly less judgemental? yes it would - I stand corrected! jlo
So reassuring to know that there are loads of us grumpy old men and women out there. I would ditto most of the complaints put forward so far. As you may see from my rant on SATS, I would include an education system that is totally based on passing exams rather than educating children and even manages to muck that up! Yorkshire Pudding
Hear hear, jLo! I would abolish SATs tomorrow.
