Joojoo
Has anyone else had any good thunderstorms this evening? The current one has been going from strength to strength since 7pm and is showing no signs of slowing. Fantastic lightning and incredibly loud thunder. Just hope the girls are ok in the eglu

Joojoo
It's been great sitting here watching them out the window Think they've stopped now. Haven't heard or seen anything for 20 mins or so
Olly
ooh, send it this way, please! I love watching them. And I've had a headache for three days - it will go if it thunders.

Joojoo
ooh, send it this way, please! I love watching them. And I've had a headache for three days - it will go if it thunders. It hasn't got rid of mine yet and it's still really close in the house - another horrid sticky night I have to get up and watch them if they are on in the middle of the night. Can't miss one I end up doing semaphor at my neighbour across the road as she usually gets up for them too
Lesley
We had fantastic storms as well - and it was no cooler afterwards The drive was awash with water and there were a few flash floods in the area. I love storms - as long as I'm inside!
The Dogmother
We've had storms, but they went round us rather than overhead, so not too dramatic Lots of rain last night too.
Lesley
We've had storms, but they went round us rather than overhead, so not too dramatic ....round you....and straight over us! I did wonder whether the conservatory was going to cope!
chickencam
We had several storms, and the rain when we were lying in bed last night at about 12.30am was torrential. We covered the Eglu run with a big piece of lino late yesterday afternoon just before it started because the run is lovely and dry at the moment and i didn't want the girls paddling and dirty eggs again. It was sunny when we got up at 7am but it is quite threatening again now We are supposed to be going camping to Dorset tomorrow and it is not looking good Good for the allotment though
Lapinou
We had one really, really long thunderstorm starting at about 4.30ish and lasting well into the evening. The children loved it as did I - I love the sound of thunder Don't think DH was too impressed though - he had to cycle 10 miles home from work in the torrential rain that came with it
SarahJo
4.30am - loud thunder, a few flashes of lightning and rain We were in Spain for 2 weeks - got back over the weekend. While we were there we had a fab storm around 10pm. Not alot of thunder but surrounded by constant fork lightning, going in all directions - really spectacular. Guest
i ate quite late last night (due to hospital visiting) and I had some peppered mackerel which was 2 days out of date but I figured, it had been in the fridge, was vacuum sealed and I would be able to tell by taste and smell if it was okay. It was okay so I ate it. At about 4.30am I woke with terrible stomach cramps and had to dash to the loo. Could have been wind? Happens if I eat at irregular times. I'm sure if I'd poisoned myself it would have been much worse. Anyway, made it back to bed, totally shattered and BOOM, the thunder and lightening started then the rain, no idea how long it went on for as I sparked out a few minutes after that
