susanbb
Well it's back again tonight. It only seems like it finished the other week. I always say that I'm not going to watch it,but then get sucked in. Just wonder what the auditions will bring Yikes. It will be an interesting experience
Egluntyne
I always say I'm not going to watch it but then get sucked in. Part of me feels that some of the contestants are very unfortunate, with no self awareness, and no-one to suggest that appearing in the show might not be in their best interests, which is a shame. Much is being made of the alleged "battle" between Dannii and Cheryl. Just to get the ratings up. I can't wait for Strictly to start too. I love that. BeckyBoo
We're an X Factor family rather than strictly, the auditions are the best bit although it won't be the same without Sharon Mrs B
Cinnamon
I love them both! Won't be watching tonight as I am off out,but I am certainly Sky+'ing it When does Strictly start then?
Guest
You do realise that the return of the X Factor means the start of the countdown to Christmas, as the whole point of it being on at this time of the year is to get the Christmas No1! How scary is that??!

Yorkshire Pudding
My baby cousin Richard (who is 6'7'') got through the initial stages a couple of years ago. He got in front of the big judges, only to be told by Simon Cowell that he was 'musical valium'! He's been dining out on it ever since. And I used to teach the young lady who got very angry and had to be removed from the audition by the bouncers last year or the one before. Her little sister is still in school and really doesn't want to talk about the incident. Who can blame her? We love X factor in this house, although we usually watch the start and then lose it a bit until the finals begin nearer Christmas. I like having something on TV that we can all enjoy together. Joojoo
Rachel was very good. I thought she sang Trouble far better than Amy Winehouse manages to Although her having 5 children at 26 was a bit of a surprise Edited August 16, 2008 by Guest

crazygal
We all love X factor here- (personally I think its an excuse for the kids to stay up a bit later than usual on a Sat night!)- I pretend its them that want to watch it but its me too!! Did anyone else think that Cheryl Cole seemed to have lots to say and Dannii didn't get a look in tonight? Or maybe thats the producers way of introducing Cheryl so they edited out anything that Dannii might have said? or maybe I'm just super duper analytical and cynical! deejmum
Really enjoyed it tonight. I like Cheryl and she knows what it is like. My 6 year old son now wants to go on and sing Mr Blue Sky by ELO!!! I also watched the xtra factor and new presenter Holly Willoughby, she really livened it up, it was fun!
BeckyBoo
OH was marginally disappointed by the absence of Fern Cotton but I definitely agree - Dannii didn't get a look in! Mind you, now Sharons gone, Dannii isn't the young pretty one any more - ooohhh, there may be trouble ahead.... Mrs B

dogs and chickens
I love ex factor and hubby is out tonight, so just settled myself down for a fun hour in front of the TV when..... my Dad knocked on the door and he's only just left ! I'm guessing I missed a good show! I'm sure I'm behind the times but why is Sharon not on this year? I always find her such fun - or is that just me??? Cate in NZ
Sorry, not my kind of a show at all, I end up cringing at the exploitative freak show elements of it.....quite cruel in many ways I think, and even the winners don't really seem to do particularly well out of it long term. maybe Leona Lewis will prove to be an exception though I shan't be watching it this year, that's for sure, not least because they don't show it over here
Faye&Ant
SING "EM A SONG DELLA - SING "EM A SONG I LOOOOOOVEEEE X Factor. The auditions make me cry with laughter but like others - I usually lose interest half way through. LOL - me and OH kept saying that to each other last night and were in fits of laughter. That was my favourite audition of all time. btw - when does strictly start - I love that too?
missuscluck
We love x factor. My youngest was on a sleepover last night so we missed her as she is a x factor fan. I thought Rachael was FAB! The greasy haired girl who was a cleaner who was on last nights programme went to the same school as my step daughter. Amy couldent belive it when she popped up on the tv.
