My children were asking me to tell them the WORST swear word in the world - I plucked something out of the air, which happened to be fizzlewhit (they believed me for all of 2 seconds). Then I joined Ravelry which is a knitting site and was trying to think of something knitty as a user name and thought of Fizzle Knit. Then I joined this site, failed to think of anything henny, so decided to stick at Fizzle Knit. (Although maybe I should have used FRIZZLE Knit?)

I used to read the beano (until my husband cancelled it because the newsagent thought it was for him). So hes always called me plum after little plum. Anagram of plum is lump, leave me out in the sun and I turn into a prune,........his jokes go on.

Liked the word Eglantine.

I wish I'd spelled it Egluntyne now though, as in my head I pronounce the last syllable Tyne and not Teen.

To late now. :D

I've always pronouned it Egluntyne because that's the name of the charachter in Bedk"Ooops, word censored!"s and Broomsticks, when I see your name, I sing the little song, Egluntine, Egluntine - don't know the rest.

Mumpty is what my children call me. My daughter had a school sweatshirt made with her knickname on it and I wanted one too, so they printed one for me with a small photo of the kids on the front and 'Mumpty' printed on the back, I proudly wear it out!

Here it is for anyone who is not familiar....http://fairytales4u.com/story/chicken.htm

I chose mine, because the name I originally wanted was being used.

What name did you originally want?

Ahhh...Originally I wanted Thumper. This has been my nickname since long before I was born. Apparently while mom was pregnant with me I would thump all the way across her belly, when my dad would get home he would always ask "How's Thumper today?"

My parents were sure I would be a football star, but he got a hairdresser instead. :D He's soooooo proud!

I didn't start using Thumper myself until I started working for a particular boss who's name also happened to be Mark, so to eliminate any confusion I was asked if I had any other names I could go by.
