Guest
But we may consider introducing it in 2010. We have a choice of either: a) Taxing you on the number of chickens you own. b) Taxing you on the number of eggs produced. or c) Taxing you on the amount of poo produced. We are of the opinion that taxing the amount of poo will generate the most revenue for the government. And.... if you're chicken needs to cross the road (to get to the other.. etc), you will of course need to pay road tax for running a chicken on a public highway. Gordon, over and out. Scramble
Very funny... I actually went 'WHAT?!?' at the computer... I thought I was going to have to dress up my chickens as rabbits so they don't come under poultry...

Guest
I thought I was going to have to dress up my chickens as rabbits so they don't come under poultry... Didn't I mention the Rabbit-tax? Rabbits will be taxed on the number of.... err... "bonks" (for want of a better word) sorry, family forum and all that - you get the idea though. The government will have teams of Rabbit voyeurs who will attend your property to watch your Rabbits (*onking) and chalk up the score of... movement. Tax credits are available for those on lower-incomes. Also Tax relief will be available for those with over-amorous rabbits who exceed the upper "threshold". You heard it here first, Gord. Ana's flock
Don't you go giving them ideas!!! There will be a mass exodus of omeleteers towards Andorra and other tax havens... We could have un-named (number only) secret eglus, cubes and other types of coops registered in Switzerland? If so, I want my to be 007 - licensed to lay. Gordon, if you tax us on eggs, does that mean that we can apply for egg benefits when our girls decide not to work due to dark days and nasty weather conditions? If so, where do we need to send the application form?
hillfamily
I assume that the tax will be charged at a paltry rate
