What's on your want list?

Recommended Posts

I would then buy us a smallholding with lots of space for my little girls to dust bathe to their little hearts content.

I would have a lovely, massive run built by aviaries4u and rescue lots of lovely baldy ex-batts and lavish attention on them all day every day as I would be a lady of leisure.

I would buy hubby a massive, state of the art polytunnel with watering systems and everything and make it hen proof so that my girls couldn't nick his tomatoes and cucumbers.

This is more or less what I want now-a-days too. Am kinda hankering after a lottery win which would allow us to up-sticks and get an acre or two to really do The Good Life without having to leave my magic kingdom every day to bring home the umm bacon!

BTW Cinnamon - if you get an iPhone it will deal with your music AND eReader in one machine :D

I bought one for myself a couple of weeks ago (it was easy to justify it!) and went out on Tuesday and bought my assistant one too - she has already installed an eReader with loads of books so she doesn't have to take books away on holidays with her :D

Ooh that sounds great! :D

I want my little white dove to come out of the chimney alive. Alas I do not think it is going to happen.

I also want a pair of Jimmy Choos, another Radley handbag and some Chanel No 5 Soap, easily pleased ! ( This is my Christmas list just in case my sons are reading this thread.)

Realistically, the nearest I am going to get to jimmy Choos is trying them on in Jenners!

I would like enough money to give up work forever and move to Trinidad (lovely Caribbean island outside the hurricane zone) taking my cats and hens with me. We could go by boat, then we wouldn't be stressed on a flight, and we could take as long as we liked to get there.

More realistically, I would like to be in a job I enjoyed where I was actually valued and appreciated, and that paid more than this one. I'm already regretting my commitment to pay half the school fees for my brother's children - there's 4 of them, with 3 started their new fee-paying school a couple of weeks ago. Many more years to go. Why, oh why, did I say I'd do this? ...

And I'd like my 2 little freeloaders to start laying eggs again, so we can catch up with the backlog of boxes waiting to be filled :D

(How about having the ability to stop time just for a little while? When people really annoyed you, you could stop time, tell them exactly what you think of them and get it all out of your system, before starting time again. I'd be less stressed and they'd never hear a thing - and I'd probably very quickly think of more creative uses for time-stopping :D )

OK dreamtime over, back to being a wage-slave ...

Realistic wants:

A memory foam matress topper

A pair of heated gloves

A woodburning stove

Unrealistic wants:

A big house, with a huge garden and a sea view.

Thick, straight, silky, shiny hair

A cure, with no side affects, for Rheumatoid

Arthritis, it's really getting me down right now:(

....Oh and obviously world peace would be great.

Tessa

Can I steal one of your wants, Tessa? I've just been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthitis after wondering for months why I hurt so much and felt so bloody old! Now I know what it is I want a cure for it too..... :(

I would like my landlord to suddenly decide to replace our windows and get the front and back walls sorted

To be 3 dress sizes smaller

Knee high boots that are actually knee high, and fit my calves (calfs?)

A jacket thats not too thick or thin or too long or short

Bras that are the same size no matter which shop or style you try on

A nice red wine that tastes how the description says it tastes

A long, not too hot summer

My YD to miraculously get better from JIA and not need all the horrid medication

My ED's foot to also get better so she can play tennis and walk without crutches

Oh, and have enough money to buy the things we'd like

:D

Blimey! Why indeed. You must either be a saint or the comprehensives round there must be like Beirut...

Not so much Beirut as specialist - you can specialise in robbery with violence, pure violence or, if you show real aptitude, the advanced import/export trade . As all of my brother's children are quite intelligent but easily led, I could understand why the local schools might not be the best choice and, in a generous mood one day, I offered to pay half of the fees to send them somewhere decent. However I was expecting the eldest ony to go in September and without consulting me brother and siste-in-law decided to send the twins as well (probably because I was paying half ).

Most of the time I don't regret it, as they will inherit all my wordly debts one day and it seemed a better plan to let them have some of it while they can benefit, but when there's too much month left at the end of the money, I do sometimes wonder at my sanity (or lack of it)...

In my dream world where I win the lottery: :D

I would love a house in the country with land

I would love to give up work and stay home then I would be able to have a dog again

In my dreams (at the moment- but not too unattainable) :D

I want a new kitchen, bathroom and downstairs loo

A walk in run for the chooks

Realistically: :)

I want my own laptop - have to borrow hubbies or DD2's at moment

I want to learn patchwork

I want my new bunny house and WIR that I ordered at the beginning of February (that was supposed to only take 3 weeks to make) to be delivered within the next week :(

Oh yes...and I would extend my huge shoe collection by buying more crocs in all colours and styles.

I would like a shoe collection!

It sort of crept up on me. Size 3s are often in the sale and I'm a sucker for a bargain. I did recently have a clear out but we still reckon that there is close to 120 pairs upstairs (I built myself a shoe rack that holds 80 pairs  )
