That's a shocker !! It's actually hard to believe that in this day and age a company could be so wasteful. I'm a Costa girl thankfully. Starbucks will be hoping that all of this will go away quickly............methinks NOT !!

I adore Starbucks too so I hope they soon change things.

 

If they don't want to be constantly touching taps with their hands because they are so busy (the only real reason I can see for the madness) then get foot pedal operated taps.

They all ready make foot operated taps for operating theatres and touring caravans.

OK I believe this now, just seen in on BBC News. Of course they are now thinking about their position or something like that.

 

Along the same lines - if you are in Costa take a good look at all their advertising for their "ethical" rain forest coffee - lots of frogs (actually they gave me a cuddly one for James but I am a VERY good customer). Look at the signs, then look closely and you'll see its only 30% of the coffee that is coming from the ethical farms!

Our restaurant and deli at work are all Starbucks. I refuse to use them and refuse to get a catering card so I can't use them.

 

It does mean though that if I don't have time to do lunch I have to go to the pub.

I was just thinking the same thing!

 

And since when does cold water kill germs anyway? It might wash off surface muck but as I'm always telling Son "germs aren't luminous green"!!
