Just wondering if there are any brave adrenaline junkies out there?

 

Has anyone ever done a parachute jump? Would like to do one?

 

If jumps arent your kind of thing what would get your heart racing and blood pumping?

Always wanted to do one

 

Have been WAY too heavy for a long time.

 

I guess the excuse has gone now - where to I sign up??

I have parachuted - great fun, hit the ground repacked the silk and went again

 

Have also done racing at Knockhill circuit (scotland) in mini formula one cars - fantastic fun.

 

My next one is to ski off a mountain with a parachute ......

 

OH went up in a Jet Provost and got thrown around the sky for an hour, loved it (was a 30th birthday pressie)

Last year I had a whole day paragliding lesson (terrifying). It wasn't even tandem - just me up there for about 20 seconds a time before crashing to ground (never did get the hand of landing). OH thought it would be a good 30th birthday present...

I was supposed to do a parachute jump about 18 years ago but had to back out at the last minute.

the guy who took my place landed badly,bust up his ankle & had to have 3 ops!

The closest i've gotten is a 100ft abseil down the side of a carpark in aid of Macmillan Cancer Aid

It was FAB!!! even though the weather was awful!

Funnily enough i hate flying but would do a jump - how wierd!

I would be more worried about gettin in the plane than jumping out of it.

 

I dont think i'd like to jump in the dark though as you are never too sure where you would land! I dont fancy a holly bush breaking my fall or landing in a big smelly cow pat!

Lesley, I think to get me out of that plane I would need to be wearing a balaclava.... backwards! (and be pushed out: hard). but then again, he who dares......

We, Carl has one for mountain hiking.... but I suppose Farmers wear them as well

would d love to do one, but now I have kids I wouldn't in fear of anything happening to me, I couldn't knowingly put myself in that danger until they were of an age that they could look after themselves, if that makes sense?? I guess I am silly like that.

 

My brother did one when he was about 20 I guess landed wrong smashes his ankle and foot worse that the hospital had ever seen, plates, screws everything!.. poor love.

I'd love to do a parachute jump, infact I'd like to freefall first, I've done abseiling pot-holing, (don't want to do that again ) climbing etc. I don't fancy a bungee jump because I'm sure my legs would come off I'd like to do a racing circuit in a very fast car and paraglide

I did a trek along the great wall a few years ago raising £5,500 for Cancer Research and as part of that I did go down a zip wire across a gorge - that was high enough for me!

I know, seemed like a good idea at the time then crawling along in the dark through a tunnel not high enough to lift my head up properly, with a pair of boots belonging to the person in front, and the helmet of the person behind near to my boots, and dirty water sloshing around up to my chin Noooooo never again

Ooooh, Annie, now you've got me thinking about Lewis Collins in Who Dares Wins . Didn't he have to wear a balaclava too .

 

An Italian friend of my parents did a parachute jump while he was staying over here many years ago - and broke his ankle! You've got to be a bit mad to jump out of a perfectly good plane .
