Leicester_H
OK everyone - what can I get my OH for Christmas ?? He basically buys 'anything' he wants so it makes presents difficult. Want something unusual but not a complete waste of money. He has had activities 'vouchers' (Rock Climbing, helicopter flying, shooting etc.). He often gets a bottle of a single Malt whisky ( he likes those from Islay) - so thats a sandby idea - similarly Thortons Chocs. He's retired (was Astrophysicist/Rocket Scientist - yes - really) - goes to the gym a few times a week (inc. Yoga) and walks with a group once a week - but doesn't like competive sport. Drives a Passat and has an old (1972) MGB that he's had from new! Bit (but not a lot) into gardening. Into computing (but NOT games) Likes reading Happy to help with the girls, but not really chickeny. Any good ideas??????????????????????????????????? I see you saiy that you OH is also a reader look on amazon for new books coming up by his favourite authors also try the book people who do loads of cheap books. I bought the new Ian Rankin for £4.99 far cheaper than anywhere else What about a look on ebay for MG owners bits and bobs. You could put together a nice hamper of his favourite food and drink. jlo
You could always do what a friend of mine did - bought her OH something that she wanted. Jillus
I bought my husband-who-has-everything A Wattson Electricity monitor for his 60th birthday recently. Not a day has passed by when I have not regretted it, he loves it and enjoys all the downloading of the usage graphs into the computer but I frequently find myself sitting in the dark after most of the side lights have been switche doff while I have been out of the room, and I can never have the TV on just for company during the day anymore!
