Hi Vanessa - have you candled? It's so exciting & the little black one I've called Button is a definite frizzle! I'm so pleased. I could see it at about 3 to 4 days old. The wing feathers curl. It was fluffier than the other one at a day old too.

Fingers crossed for a succesful hatch!

Here's the latest pics of Button (black frizzle) & Bingo (possible partridge) at 3 weeks old today!

I've got a feeling Button is male & Bingo female - which I'm hoping for - but only time will tell. They are such good little chicks.

I use fine knit dish cloths for all my chicks I've ever hatched, on top of shavings of course. But these pair seem to be toilet trained on the cloths. Which is so easy for cleaning each day. Bless them. They seem to know when it's night time too & settle down for the night on teddy.

You see.. anyone who wasn't into chickens would say....'what expression?... They're just chickens'. No-one else understands the subtle nuances of these sentient creatures' expressions like we do

Just wait until next weeks photos, they have really feathered up & starting to fill out too. They are right little characters & very pretty. They are getting very tame too now & love my company. 4 weeks old on Xmas eve eve (Tuesday).
