mad house
If I see another Christmas add on tv it will be too soon!! I don't enjoy Christmas much and seeing all the adds on tv this early is really depressing me!! December 1st is fine to start the big build up not November!!!! Sorry for the rant.....just feeling a bit miserable today!!!!

KimmyCustard
When I was little all the adverts on tv used to really wind my mum up because I used to get soooo excited in November .. The shops are trying to make people shop now so they can get even more money out of us .. Im not really bothered by christmas now. I dont get excited anymore . (my mum does, she's 42 and insists on buying an advent calander ) Your Mum and I are in the same gang Scrambled, I have to have an advent calender, especially now I can choose one with chocolate behind every door! (I'm 40 in April). Our local garden centre is selling little plaster fire places (decorated with a Crimbo tree and presents next to it) that you can light up with a tea light. Then you buy little plastic stockings with your name on to hang on the hooks above the fireplace, its lovely!! If I wasnt so bad with downloading pics onto my 'puter, then I would thrill you with a pic of it too! I love the 'It's beginning to look alot like Christmas....' advert - Kimmy x
Egluntyne
My children all insist on having Advent calendars. They are 27, 23 and 19. With chocolate behind every door.

Cinnamon
When we get our dog any treats for crimbo she always has really bad diarohea (sp) or throws them back up again so we tend not to bother anymore lol Ew. Get her a nice coat or a brush instead And hope she doesn't eat them!

Joojoo
It's not a Christmas advert but the one I LOVE at the min is for Barclaycard. The guy travels down a flume from his office to his home to the sound of Let Your Love Flow by The Bellamy Brothers. It never fails to make me smile

Olly
I just saw the Waitrose ad tonight ... with all the people coming home, but it's got 'How Can I Keep From Singing' as the backing track which is possibly one of the best songs ever. I hate Christmas ads - just winding up the frenzy of spend, spend, spend - but that one is particularly nice.
Lesley
Did you mean Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh .......... or Aaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggghhh! I'd be in the Aaaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhh category - I wish they'd start in December ....and, according to the BBC this morning, they are not enticing people to spend, spend, spend...........shoplifting has risen by 25%
little chickadee
Just don't watch the telly, that's my advice! We don't watch telly and the kids don't find out about the "must have" gifts everyone else is being told to scream for. What are they this year? Seagazer
I'm liking the music from The Cooperative (The Co-op to you and me) The usual encouragement to buy their Christmas fayre...but the music's good I was going to mention this one. They've been playing it on Radio 2 this week a lot. I still can't remember who it's by, I think its the Australian girl with the Italian sounding name. I might be wrong though. It sounds like an old song. Ooh its playing now on Radio 2 - its Warm this Winter by Gabriella Cilmi. Lovely I hope thats the one anyway..... I do have a fuzzy head
redhotchick
I've just been sleepily surfing the "pimp that snack" site.....how did I get there from this thread??? Oh I see what I did. I think I googled advent calendars
Cate in NZ
Bizarrely I'm missing the Christmas build up this year. Hated the start getting for Christmas in September malarky, and in previous years I'd have been ranting about Christmas ads in November too, but some of the UK ads are so clever and entertaining...there just isn't that level of advertising over here and next to no Christmas advertising at all. No Christmas lights in the shopping centres, just a few bits in some individual shops. I can't quite believe I'm saying this, but I sort of wish that I could watch some of them too . Oh dear, I must have been in the sun for too long today, fair addled my brain
Lesley
We'll have to find some YouTube links for you Cate I would miss it all as well - i can't even think what a warm/hot Christmas must feel like either
