Thank you secret santa thread

Recommended Posts

Thankyou Secret Santa! I've had the most lovely garland of smelly chickens. They smell all Christmassy & even go with my kitchen colour scheme! How did Santa know? I know who my secret santa is

Thank you so much, I'm really thrilled with my prezzie. I can see them being a real talking point at the dinner table later! I'll post a pic later.

One very happy Emma.x :D

I must say that I was anticipating my secret santa pressie above all others, & it was really fun to open it.

I got the most gorgeous little ceramic wall hanging in soft neutral colours - very classy & pretty & perfect for my home.

It looks like cork a bit,but its all ceramic.

I will be hanging it in my living room :P

Thanks Santa, you are a doll xxxxx

The colour isn't so rich in the pic as in real life, but gives you an idea..

Can't sleep, so I thought I'd come on the forum (I think I've gone beyond tired! )

I opened my secret santa on Christmas day and was delighted and surprised to have an extra gift which my secret santa didn't make, but thought I'd like!!! It was a lovely little felt egg cosy.

I've also got a jar of lemon curd and a jar of tomato chutney, which I'm looking forward to opening once the Christmas food has been finished off. Thankyou very much whoever you are. I've no idea but feel free to own up if you'd like to - most other people seem to have worked out who theirs is from I think!

I've had great fun and making my secret santa gift has encouraged me to make more for other people as presents rather than buying prezzies. My efforts actually got a lot better with practice so my appolgies to my secret santa recipient for being a guinea pig!!!

Thanks Cathy for organising this. My kids were very excited about it and so was I.

Well I opened my other presents first and kept the best for last. Thank you my secret santa. It was three little chicken angels in a basket of straw wrapped in cellophane with a piece of bright stripey ribbon. Now I wonder who my secret santa can be  No clues there then.

Thank you, thank you, thank you xxx. I'll post a picture when I have fed the three thousand.

Hope you are enjoying the reveal as much as me Chief Elf. :D

THANK YOU to my secret santa. I received a lovely 'hairy knit' scarf/neckpiece (I'm sure it has a name but I have Christmas brain today) in EXACTLY the colours I would have chosen, deep cerise pink and dark winey red and a fresh green. I wore it for my Christmas walk yesterday, and felt very smart!

And also a beautiful beaded string, with lovely beads at both ends. But I'm a numpty and I don't know what it is for! Yesterday, I wore it, hung it on the doork"Ooops, word censored!", hung it on the tree, and generally enjoyed it, but I would be grateful if anyone could cast any light on its true purpose! I'll post photos at some point.

THANK YOU secret santa, and thank you Couperwife! I received only one Christmas gift (well, two in one!) that was handmade by the sender -- my omlet secret santa! -- and it was very special.

Thank you Santa - I had some damson jam (slurp - my favourite of all jams - how did you know?) and a Willy Warmer - well not really - it is a lovely knitted stripey pocket to put my phone into. It matches DD's hair!

I am now going to hide the jam and ration myself so that I don't eat it all too quickly.:drool::drool:

:clap::dance:

Thank you Santa - I know who these came from - a lady who is an absolute whizz on the sewing machine & who has a heart of gold!

Smelly chicken garland!

Thank you so much - I've had so many lovely comments on them this Christmas! They fit on my kitchen door (internal door) perfectly & the waft we keep getting off them is beautiful.

My parcel contained a bottle of lemoncello which smells DELICIOUS, and two beautiful etched glass decorations (hens, of course!) which are delightful.

Thank you Secret Santa, you are so clever!

PS I will need hints on the uses of lemoncello... am tempted to swig from the bottle, it smells that good...

just pop into the freezer or the fridge and have a little snifter in a shot glass, glad you like it! ;)

Hi OD!, Glad you like your goodies, and that the colours are sooo right for you  I call the "hairy knit" a cowl scarf, but love hairy knit too! I like these cowls when out on doggie walks as there are no ends to get caught up on things & strangle you when retrieving hairy mutts from stupid places  !!

And the beaded string is a book mark. I nearly made it a necklace, but did it at the last minute & didn't have time to go & get some longer string :anxious: I love my bookmark, which is in my diary, so used almost everyday & thought you might like one too!

Hope you enjoyed your Christmas,

love from your (not so) secret santa, Sha x

Judging by the texts I got on the way home from DH's family's Christmas yesterday, that's exactly what my step-son & son in law did in the car in the way home :whistle::shock: ( Step-daughter was driving & missed out  )

They will be coming round some time today, armed with bottles of vodka for me to work magic on  !!! Thank you Poet for posting that recipe, it's been a total hit in our family!!

A bookmark! You'd think that as a proofreader and booklover I'd have worked that out! Well, in it goes to my Christmas read, and very lovely it is, thank you.

And the cowl will definitely save me from being stuck in bushes trying to retrieve the very mischievous Onion!

Thank you, Santa Sha!
