I have always wanted to set up a web cam for my bears so i can see what they get up to when im at work but the truth of it is I already know........sleeping! Lesley
I think your hens are camera shy - or they've run away I'll look again later - wonderful to have one.

ubereglu
I got a hen outside and just laying an egg. It's quite cool, better watching them outside though!

kannie
You can see free-ranging chickens on a webcam if you go into Harrods food hall - and they sell their eggs!
The Dogmother
There's one on the Clarence Court website too, I used to watch it before I got our girls! Come to think of it, weren't Omlet muttering about webcams at one stage.... wonder what happened to that...?
Lesley
They went the same way as a Mark 3 Eglu
The Dogmother
Yup, they are decidedly cagey about that too Lesley I reckon that there's some Bermuda Triangle of goood ideas at the Mothership - they all disappear into it, never to be seen again, bit like the chook-keeping courses eh? Cate in NZ
I reckon the guys are brimming with great ideas, but are lacking the 48 hour days needed to get everything that they want to do into practice. I'm beginning to think that the chat about the Mark 3 was just the product of my fevered imagination and I'd dreamt it all. I'd actually forgotten the chicken keeping course thing until you mentioned it Clare, and I'm sure I signed up for that too OK boys, time to priotitise and satisfy your most loyal customers please- Mark 3 eglu just as soon as you like, and preferably in purple please I thought that there was a webcam once upon a time, featuring Nosh & Pecks when I was exploring the forum right at the very start of all my time-wasting on here, but it disappeared very quickly- I don't think that it was anything that I did, honest . They did talk about another for the ex-batts, but that's not happened, and the blog's in serious need of updating. And what about the newsletter- that's a bit hit and miss at the moment too. So, Clare, as the one with the most inside knowledge, what is the main focus of attention at Omlet HQ right now????
The Dogmother
Search me Kate - they were all huddled in a meeting when I went and wouldn't give away any secrets I wonder whether they ever look at the forum; it'd give them a good idea of what we want. Martin B
Sometimes late at night there will be somebody hidden on here. I've witnessed it myself, when Buffie has gone to bed. It was very late, and we then got a message from James. They are watching I can guarantee.
The Dogmother
He does sometimes log on Martin, but not as often as he used to. GRD is often 'hiding' late at night; he's dead furtive that lad

The Dogmother
A local IT company sell a wireless set-up for a couple of hundred quid, which gives you 2 wireless cameras, wireless modem, wireless plug-in for your computer and a software package so that you can log-in and watch them online. I have this on my wish list for when I have some dosh!
chocchick
I emailed omlet about mark 3 and purple eglus and got a reply from Barbara... [the purple eglu] is going to remain in production rather than be a limited edition colour as it's proving so popular. I don't know the answer to the Mark 3 Eglu question, I'm afraid because it's still very much in the design stage at the moment. It won't be due for sale for a while yet, as far as I'm aware. Kaz where is your webcam (as in URL)?

chocchick
Well maybe Mark 2 purple yes. I asked if purple was going to stay and when mark 3 was going to come out separately. Could have been confusing
