Angels4
I've just seen "Momma Mia" I know, I'ts about time I LOVED the film, but if you don't mind me saying Pierce Bronson has a Not so Terrific voice. If you haven't seen the movie you don't have to take my word for it. Watch below:Only if you have no plans to see this film. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-6SXClYrZc Edited December 23, 2008 by Guest

jlo
I've just seen "Momma Mia" I know, I'ts about time I LOVED the film, but if you don't mind me saying Pierce Bronson has a TERRIBLE voice. If you haven't seen the movie you don't have to take my word for it. Watch below:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-6SXClYrZc Got to agree with you Mark. However, IMHO, the terrible way that he sings adds to the overall charm of the movie. It's a bit like an uncle having a go and making a complete fool of himself at karaoke - but you love him anyway! Angels4
ABSOLUTLEY.... I must agree. Truly one of the BEST films I've seen in a while.
iar fach goch
went to a sing along version last night, such a feel good film, perfect for Christmas!
poachedegg
I agree; the fact Pierce Brosnan is not a professionasl singer (though I wouldn't go as far to say he was terrible), made his part more believable - and good on him say I! Loopyloo you will really enjoy it - a bit cheesy, a no brainer but great fun and you will have a smile on your face at the end - enjoy! Cinnamon
ABSOLUTLEY.... I must agree. Truly one of the BEST films I've seen in a while. Well said Mark - its a real joy And I like the ex mr Bond in it, although the day that the divine Daniel Craig does a musical, I will eat my Eglu! Angels4
You are right Adrienne...Terrible is a bit harsh. I've changed it to "Not so Terrific" voice.
The Dogmother
I totally agree Mark, but still loved the film. I happen to know that Rosie has bought it for me for Christmas

Seagazer
I love this film and feel that the slightly dodgy singing just adds to the charm of it. I could forgive him anything anyway if he just smiled at me and winked those gorgeous blue eyes
Cinnamon
I think most of us could forgive him almost anything - the man is divine Has anyone seen his remake of 'The Thomas Crown Affair'? He plays a handsome playboy soooo well, & has a fab chemistry with Renee Rousso - I would really recommend it to everyone. I thought his voice was OK in a gravelly sort of way.He gave it a go,which is hugely attractive in my eyes. Mama Mia is just such a feel good movie, its warm & sunny there in Greece, which is lovely to see while we are sit here in grey old England. The Dogmother
Rosie had bought me the DVD of the movie for Christmas, so we enjoyed it all over again on Christmas Day
Snowy
I watched it for the first time last night - fab! Made me want to move to an old taverna in Greece (preferably with PB, but OH will do )
Omletina Kyckling
You know I think I'm in a minority of one here, because PB just doesn't do it for me at all - I don't like his silly, whispery voice, it's almost effeminate I think which is odd, as I usually go for the darker haired man. I did absolutely love Mamma Mia though, which I was surprised at as I'm a bit of an Abba anorak - even have their autographs and pretty much everything they have ever done, before, during and after Abba! I usually hate anybody else singing their songs, but the film was wonderful.
Guest
I saw the film several times on my flight (WHY do they put so much RUBBISH ON - the other films were mostly DRIVEL except Wall.E which I've had on continously in lessons last week!!!) I had no idea that was Brosnan - I thought it was just some nice looking chap. Were the other guys well known too?

mostin
I must admit I'm a huuuuuuge P.B. fan but his singing really ruined it for me . I had to hide behind a cushion as it made me cringe too much to watch the screen. Absolutely adored Colin Firth's part in it though

The only thing I have seen the other guy in was as Orlando Bloom's dad in Pirates of the Caribbean II and III and as he was covered with barnacles for the majority of that, he wasn't very recognisable! Phonix
There was an interview with PB on Radio 1 and he knows he can't sing lol and apparantly according to him thats partly why he was chosen for the part!! None of the men were supposed to be the best singers esp since abba songs are notoriously difficult to sing! x

That wouldn't have helped me anyway I havn't seen the Pirate film and I never had a clue who Orlando Blook was either when a media studies collegue put up a life sized poster of him outside my classroom.
