More of The Things Children say ...

Recommended Posts

Middle son has had us in stitches today! The boys were planning to watch the Thomas Tank Engine film on TV. I asked if it was the new one with Pierce Brosnan doing the voices. They said they would find out for me. Later on, middle son came upstairs to tell me that this was not the one with P*n*s Brosnan. :shock::shock::lol::lol: Still making me giggle just thinking about it :lol:

Very funny......... :lol::lol:

Glad you restarted this thread Snowy as my DD has just come out with a cracker....

Emily and I have just been to the petrol station and as i was filling the car up another car pulled in along side us, the guy driving was waving at me but i didn't recognise him until he got out of his car then i realised it was our postman and said hello to him. After paying for my petrol and saying goodbye to Trevor the postman I got in the car and said to Emily "that was Trevor but i didn't recognise him", and Emily said "well you are not used to seeing him with his clothes on".............. :oops::lol::lol::lol: ( She meant his normal clothes and not his postmans outfit of course, I have never seen Trevor without his clothes HONEST....)

Yes I bumped into one of the people i know from the workshops where i used to keep my horse, at the Royal Highland Show this year where he had a stall in the craft tent,

It took him a second or two to place me and then he announced very loudly 'ah Ruth didnt recognise you with your clothes on' he meant horsey clothes i had to explain quickly to my mum and her friend :roll: Glad hubby wasnt there

From a very early age my son used to point at cars and say "One Car". We were attending a local May Day Fair and a farmers field which was normally empty was used as a car park. This was obviously very exciting for my 2 year old as he started shouting at the top of his voice "Look one cars, one cars, one cars".

I don't know about children but my MOTHER has done these things to me when she mistaked my Religious Education Teacher as a Door Greeter at a craft fair we went to.

:roll::lol:

:lol: It's a mother's job to be more embarrassing to her children than they were to her :wink: I've warned my sons! :D

So true! :lol:

My son hasn't forgotten the time i told his friend off for pressing the button at a crossing and starting to cross at the same time. I told him it wasn't fair to stop the traffic, made him wait until the green man appeared and then held his elbow as we crosed the road.

They were 15 at the time :lol::lol:

:lol::lol::lol: OS made me stop kissing him on the cheek when I walked him and ys to school back in year 6 so he was only 11! he said I was so embrassing.. :lol: we had to have a secret code kiss, which was an 'aright?' and a thumbs up :wink:

I am sure I will get more embarassing though.. or he's been too traumatised to tell me already :lol::lol::lol::wink:

YS doesn't do with codes or anything he wont let me near the gates let alone in the school.. :lol::lol:

Me too. I still have to remind my two that this is my mission in life and I would be a failure as a mother if I didn't embarrass them!

My OH's very cheeky niece was told to behave or get a smacked bum from my OH when she was very very small.

She thought this was hilarious as she knew he would never lay a finger on her, so she pulled her pants down and walked round singing "smack my bare bum uncle shaun" :oops::lol::lol: .

Unfortunately for her this was at a family party and it was video taped. We are saving it for her 18th birthday party :twisted: .

I was making a cake for my daughter's birthday today and gave Lauren and Jake a piece of icing each to model with. The ywanted to make something to go on top of Mummy's cake (I actually had a very elegant, simple, design in mind :roll: )

Lauren made a very nice snowman - and Jake was very industrious, adding lots of little bits of thinly rolled icing to his.

When it was ready he announced "Look what I've made - a fur ball!"

:vom::vom:

Luckily, he changed it into snowballs before we took it home for Mummy! :lol:
