How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

The chickies have gone out for the first night to night into the eglu.

 

DON'T PANIC

 

I know that it's very cold but hubby has heated the polytunnel for them and we spent some time setting up the eglu inside the polytunnel. I left them a little while ago all snuggled up inside with some straw. It's actually a rablu so they also have food and drink in there as well.

 

I will have to keep checking on them.

 

 

It feels like their first grown up night out by themselves (daft as they were living in a stable at the rescue centre).

 

One even caught a worm then didn't know what to do with it. She soon learnt when another chick pinched it and gobbled it down.

Oooh, I hope they have a good first night. It's not too bad here, temperature I mean but I'm sure they'll be all cosied up together. How old are they? Doesn't take them long to learn what to do where food is concerned!

They are nearly seven weeks old.

Aaawwww, bless! Ours were in an Eglu from the start pretty much but then they had mum to snuggle up in. That said she dumped the first lot at 6 weeks so they managed without her from then

Dont worry Janty, my 2 newbies went in the eglu from 8 weeks old and were/are fine....even through that really cold snap. We have been putting a snugglesafe in the nestbox....but then we only have 2 little ones - yours can all cuddle up together.

They were in a lorry crash in Essex as day old chicks and the RSPCA took them to South Essex rescue centre.

They are fine. It's quite toasty in the polytunnel and they are slowly getting the hang of going into the eglu when it gets dark.

The chicks are getting really big now and their final feathers are coming through. The light sussex chicks are really sweet...getting their tiny little black neck feathers.
