Yes, very easy to navigate and pleasantly surprised at the choice of food, specially the lovely breads! (mind you, I always loved Waitrose's bread section).

 

Fish and meats have a good choice of organics too. I haven't checked the vegis yet as I'm still with Abel and Cole (signed for the 4 for the price of 3 offer), but I'll be moving on to Ocado as Abel and Cole's vegis arrive already a bit wrinkly and their parsnips remind me of my rats' tails...

 

I might even get the pre-paid year's delivery offer...

 

This site is great for finding out nice things...

I find the site far easier to order from than the others.

 

TBH, struggling over to the sueprmarket, schlepping around it in the crowds of shouting people, then queuing for ages and THEN not even being able to park in my street - not worth the hassle..... Ocado every time.

I've never seen anything about pre paid delivery. Is it only in certain areas?

 

I can do my shopping now in about 15 minutes tops most of the time

Well Ocado are due to deliver to me at 11 ish today, but the snow is so severe that I am not sure if they will make it or not.

When I lived in Teddington I loved the local Waitroses ...yes plural... in Richmond, Twickenham and Kingston; all within easy reach and Ocado for online shopping.

Alas, up here I am now in a Morrisons/Asda wasteland (though I have to admit they do sell free range meat)

I do miss the ease of online food shopping but at least I now know the provenance of what I'm eating

They phoned a while back. He is over at Marlow, & on delivery #6......I am #10

He apologised profusely but promised that they WOULD be with me today.

Yes love them too and I have tried most of the home delivery people. I regularly get vouchers and money off emails from them and free P&P too.

They phoned at 1.30 to say that all the vans had been called back to the warehouse, but he was going to come to me anyhow - what a star!

He has now been, over 4 hours late but I am just happy to have seen him at all on a day such as this

Waitrose deliver is different as it comes from your nearest store, so you only get what they stock in that store. This means that you get a limited variety of stock compared with Ocado.

I agree Ocado are great. I like the texts telling you strawberry van or whichever, nice touch I always feel.

 

Out here we only get Ocado and Tesco's so no competition really.

Got an e-mail offering a corgi van with my delivery this week, just book delivery between mon and wed, but have logged on and all the delveries have gone and they haven't got back to my e-mail. I presume it's cos of the snow. Humph!

hmmm we only get tesco out here which drives me potty. I try to get most things from other sources butchers milkman vegbox etc but without driving am finding it hard for traditional groceries.

May try and see what W. deliver can do for me

hurumphhhh (or however it is spelt ) ... I only got a refund when my milk and yogurts arrived squashed and leaking last week. Now, a bottle of wine .......

 

Seriously though they are really rather fantastic. Initially I though their fruit and veg possibly rather dear, but when I popped out to the shops this week I was shocked to realise how much the prices were (I had got into the habit of simply picking up my fruit and veg without price checking as I needed them anyway), making me realise that Ocado are in fact good value

I got the same offer at the weekend but there aren't any delivery slots for the next 3 days, which is very strange perhaps they have suspended their deliveries due to the weather
