Janty
It's extra special for Valentine's Day. Although looking at it, it's not that extra special. Edited February 11, 2009 by Guest

Chookiehen
Aaaah, poo! I don't normally 'do' ready meals, but make an exception once a fortnight for the 'Dine In For £10' deal, and we tend to save the bottle of wine for special occasions. Just can't justify spending £20 on it though, even if you do get an extra course.

Ygerna
Ooh, yum! We had the dine for £10 last time and it was so nice to A)not have to prepare it, and B) eat it after the children had gone to bed and have proper grown up conversations. Just spoken with hubby and we are going to do this as our Valentine meal as with three children its not possible for us to go out and we would choke on the special 'Valentines' prices. Thanks for the heads up on this
The Dogmother
Hmmm, at that price I might just go out for a curry instead!
craftyhunnypie
Not tempted really. Seems pretty average stuff on the menu. I agree it's not that posh! You could make chocolate pots easy enough yourself. Emma.x

Goosey Lucy
Went to M&S today, the offer doesn't start until tomorrow Is this just our M&S or is it dependant on the store? Guess where I'm going tomorrow... Another 90 minute round trip, Saturday had better be worth it
The Dogmother
I think they start on Thursday - perhaps your store just doesn't have the stock yet Goosey
Goosey Lucy
Unfortunately not, the poster in store said On sale on 13th and 14th Feb Never mind, I'll have a good rootle around tomorrow and see if I can pick up any more bargains My theory is, if I'm making an effort to get to the other end on the island, braving the ice, snow and fog on the mountain then I ought to make it worth my while! Cinnamon
No, it starts today, these offers always do start on a Thursday Mine even had an annoying blokey in tails promoting it
Goosey Lucy
I've been thinking...maybe it's a day later here because of bringing the stuff in by sea/air? I shall definitely find out tomorrow. I've also decided to not make a list of must haves in case it's a limited offer here. TBH I've not been near Douglas for any of the previous offers to see if this is normal or a one-off. So we are going to have a feast tonight.
BarbaraJ
hubby will be looking today too he wants to sort dinner out so i will let him get on with picking lol i think its a good deal and cheaper than him going out and buying loads of ingredients (he cant cook with stuff from cupboard ) and don't like eating out on celebration days they always seem slow/ things off menu/reduced menu. we will wait till next week when the offers are back on lol
Cinnamon
If anyone is buying this over the weekend & likes a nice fruity rich red, then I must say that the Malbec Reserve is totally bloomin' yummy Didn't have the willpower to wait until Saturday to try it & its one of the nicest reds I have had in a long time
Alis girls
Romance is off agenda as OH is bunged up wirth sinus infection . (does anyone remember Malcom in Vicks sinus ad you have the picture!!) I waved M&S leaflet under his nose and he snuffled " I'm not that keen on ready made" So I threw together a choc mousse, carmelised oranges (made from satsumas which had been in bowl for a yr ) and will throw a steak together. With 3 children (2 mine and 1 a friends) it will be very romantic with a box of Mansize between us!! So think of me when u r having evening off, sweating over a hot stove with 2 teenagers, a 7 yr old and snotty hubbie in tow! Love aaaaaaaaaah
WitchHazel
Ooh, I was going to post about my experience with this offer this morning, glad to see a thread about it. I haven't bought a ready meal for....more time than I can remember, but seeing the advert on the TV I thought I'd go and have a look and maybe try something I wouldn't normally eat. So, I got some scallops, the salmon, some sort of cheesecake, some mashed potato, and a bottle of the Malbec. I didn't bother with the rose, as we don't celebrate Valentines day and it seemed silly taking something I didn't want just because it was free. I also picked up some olives and two pairs of trousers as I was passing. When I 'd paid my bill, I was a bit puzzled as it was more than I was expecting. So I stood in the middle of M&S, which by this time was HEAVING, trying to read my receipt. I hadn't got the £20 deal. I asked one of the harrassed checkout assistants to ring her bell for me, and when the superviser came I showed her my receipt. It turned out that because I hadn't picked up the rose, I didn't get the deal! It didn't say anywhere that you had to pick up the rose; the superviser pointed at the leaflet and said that I had to have one of everything. THAT WAS THE DEAL. I said, I know that now, but it didn't say that the offer would only go through if I had a rose. She just repeated that the deal was dependant on the rose. Anyway. I got a refund for my deal items, and then we scanned them through again with a rose. I wonder if I am the only person who got caught out by this? Although I expect there aren't many who didn't bother with the rose!
