little chickadee
A lot of you will know that my family & I are looking after a Guide Dog puppy called Quita (Puppy Walking). She is just about to leave us to go into formal training on March 2nd and we thought that we would be having to wait until April to get a new pup due to a lack of available puppies in March. I've been rather sad as we were hoping to have a cross over with the puppies and wasn't envisaging having to wait so long. We've known right from the start that Quita would be going, but I think it's still going to be really really hard. We've just found out that we will be getting the new puppy on March 25th. She is a black, labrador/ Golden Retriever cross called Raffles. She's a privately sponsored pup, which means that an individual or organisation has paid a few thousand pounds to sponsor and name her. They will meet her during the year and we will send them photos too. Edited February 12, 2009 by Guest
