Egluntyne
I can't get my breath at this one. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/INCUBATOR-FOR-REBORN-BABY-DOLL-HOSPITAL-STYLE-BARGAIN_W0QQitemZ130286063936QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Doll_Bears_Dolls_EH?hash=item130286063936&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1121|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 The questions that immediately sprang to mind were: 1. Reborn dolls....Why on earth? 2. Why would anyone want to play at having a premature baby that needed intensive care? 3. Who in their right mind would pay £100 for two plastic boxes and a bit of vacuum cleaner hose? Is it me?
Charlottechicken
Well, I think I have seen almost everything now Do you think he is having problems selling? There are lots of watchers (probably in disbelief!) but no bidders It is a bit naff looking as well, two cheap plastic storage containers without lids Each to his own I suppose
Chickvic
That is seriously strange.
Paola
I find the whole Reborn thing a little strange anyway
Ain't Nobody Here
That's incredible . He proudly says it's homemade like that makes it more desirable . "You would not notice this isnt the real thing" Errr, yes, you would . The clue would be not having given birth recently . Perhaps we should all "make an offer" . I'll go first .... let me see . Pity 1/2 pences aren't legal tender any more . I bet he's getting all excited because his "views" will have suffered the Omlet effect . ubereglu
I'm utterly amazed by it. I can see why it might be useful if you were in that situation and trying to explain it to another child, but apart from that why?
Nicola H
That is just so wrong......

Joojoo
I'm at a complete loss for words  £100? Me thinks someone is having a laugh or losing the plot!
jenuk99
I agree and for £100 as well lol. The whole reborn dolls is also strange, dolls that are painted to look like real babies, am I missing something?

Seagazer
I thought it was strange enough that they do these reborn dolls (I watched the programme and sat like this through most of it). It is even stranger that they would make premature reborns, just how sad do you have to be to want one of these. It is quite mind boggling. Egluntyne
He says 'viewing is welcome if it helps'. Shall we all turn up mob handed? Second thoughts....I have seen plastic boxes and vacuum cleaner hoses before.
Ain't Nobody Here
I think you should make one, Egluntine . I'm sure it would be far superior to his and you could sell it for £150 .
bluekarin
Having been the mum of a prem baby I think this is awful! I couldn't, or rather didn't even want to watch the programme when it was on Channel 4. Its just too creepy. *shivers* But back to original things you see of eBay topic. A guy was selling a yellow hairband. The one pictured was red and he said its just like the one pictured, but in yellow. And there were bids on it! There was a funny one where a guy was selling his very clapped out Landrover (or similar) and the listing went on and on about it being next to s"Ooops, word censored!"ping condition with lots and lots of pictures. The person who won it then went on to leave neg feedback, as it was, get this, not as described and in really bad condition!!!!
Cinnamon
I once sold a courgette. I had pictures of it growing & everything - people will buy anything Don't like this though - seems immoral to me

Snowy
I find the pics of dolls with IV lines and NG tubes seriously disturbing - the only place for those is in a medical setting for training purposes.
Plum
I suppose if someone lost a baby in intensive care it may help them come to terms with what has happened by reliving the experience, very sad. But I think a grown person pretending that they have a baby in those horrid situations just for the fun of it is sick.
freddie
I havent heard of this and havent looked. It's all too much. What a sad world we are living in.
